This one is for a friend who loves gardening and her OH loves cooking so on one side of the little card in the pocket says "...in the garden" and on the other side says "...in the kitchen".
    This is beautiful - I love it!:T :A

Thank you, I really like it too! The paper is scrapbook paper by K&Co, Margo range, 49p per 12x12" sheet in Hobbycraft. The 3 wooden embellishments were from Hobbycraft too £1.49.

Have made a door hanger for Xmas. My eldest son thinks it's great and wants to hang it on a door handle now, ready for Father Christmas to come  . Don't think he quite understands my Xmas prep in August :rotfl:

I used some Xmas scrapbook paper I bought from QVC about 2-3 years ago, a wooden tree from Hobbycraft and a few other bits and bobs I had around.

For anyone making a door hanger here are a few words/phrases you could add. Have pinched some of these from hangers I've seen for sale in shops...

    Bath in session
    Wash your hands please
    Welcome
    Shhh I'm sleeping
    Quiet...it's me time
    Home Sweet Home
Home is where the heart is
    ...in the garden

Snap, it's my fave too, tried to do it differently with bits going off the edges and like how it's turned out. Have hidden it away from kiddie eyes so we don't need to have it on the door for the next 5 months cos my son thinks Xmas is happening tomorrow :rotfl:

Thanks Mary, I must have made over 15 by now  . I've mainly made them for kiddie Xmas presents and I'm going to add a book to each hanger.

I thought I'd run out of hangers and made what I wanted to for Xmas and birthdays but I've just found 2 more in a drawer so need an excuse to make more. My brother is 30 in January, maybe make one for his birthday?

I am going to turn my thoughts at some point to door name plate - I reckon similar principles of how to make them should apply as door hangers. Would love to make one each for my boys bedroom doors.

Please shout if you have any problems with the pockets!!!
