My DD had a head on collision with a speeding police car 4 months after passing her test.It was a very worrying time, so I can relate to it all:(

    Evening,

Done a days work, now just chilling out. Checked out fixture ferrets for the latest offers and will do my meal plan/shopping list over the next couple of hours. Probably won't be very inspired as I am pooooor - have £45 to buy electric/petrol/food/anything else this week. Considering it costs me £43 to fill my tank, don't think it's going to go very far!

Can't remember who's son got glassed, but  . What is WRONG with some people? I really hope he presses charges

    Have a good evening

    Hello! :hello:

Late home from work tonight after a really quiet day I had to stay late to help with last minute invoicing as other people are on holiday. Oh well. My excuse not to do any housework this evening. I'm on my own as OH has taken his DDs to the cinema. They finished school today.
I've got some chips (well potato slices really) cooking in the remoska which I'll have which omelette and beans, an easy option. Gonna have to go get on with it!
Hugs to all, hope you're all well, I'll catch up with the thread later.

    Evening all
Well I've done my first piece of creative writing, nothing very exciting, but a useful exercise. I can't seem to find a course for under £150, so that's out the window. I shall follow some of the ideas from last nights talk, todays was, re-write something you have already written in a different format. Tomorrow I will start making a list of random ideas, lines from books, photos etc, cut them up & put them in a bag, pick one each week & write about it.
Hugs to PP, Smokey, Mrs Mix, Candy & everyone else in need.

    Hi all.

Pippa - enjoy your time with the grandchildren. Hope the weather is good for you.

I didn't welcome Tramps yesterday (I wasn't well so my brain wasn't functioning!) so welcome to you and to Valli. Glad you could join us!

Hardup Hester - try www.!!!!!! for writing. I have written a few articles on there; they have competitions, ask for essays on topical subjects, poetry comps and also paid articles for various magazines. You get rated by other writers. It's a very competently run site; I haven't actually written anything since last month so I'll have to get my a**e in gear!

Well, I did risotto in the Remoska and it was lovely; the recipe said to serve 3-4 but that wouldn't be enough for DH and me. I've eaten two thirds of it and that wasn't a big plateful! Anyway, it was very tasy and very cheap. I also did cheese on toast for lunch using a sandwich cake tin to bring it closer to the element. That was very successful too; I can see it definitely being used every day! What a saving on oven and grill costs and so easy to clean!

Anyway, I had better go and clear up.

    See you all later.

Aussie - that picture has kept me going ALL day!

I feelvery accomplished! (and tired, but accomplished!) I just made my first pasta sauce from actual tomatoes (as opposed to tinned) to use them up, and am going to start growing them next year *bounces around happily*

Great big hugs to everyone that needs them, and Happy Birthday to anyone celebrating!
