Morning all
Another grey one here - they're promising us sunshine on sunday so here's hoping!
A day's fishing sounds great, although if it's on boats it's a bit uppy-downy - i'd rather stand on the edge! used to love sea fishing with my dad - we'd get up early and go down to the beach on holiday with the camping gas, he'd catch some mackeral then cook them on the beach. happy memories.
One day to go til the weekend - I'm soooo tired! Brain refusing to function any more! Luckily nothing planned for the weekend so I shall relax (and clean the house, do the washing and ironing, catch up with the garden, do the shopping.........)
Hugs to all in need, and have a nice Friday!

Good morning all.
(((Hugs))) to Smoky, PenPin, Mrs Mix, Candygirl's Dad, AnnieS, Beth's DBs and all who are in need.
Churchmouse - :hello: :hello: :hello:
I popped back in a couple of times yesterday but couldn't shake of the queasiness which is why I was a bit quiet! I couldn't face a lot of food so just had a couple of boiled eggs for tea. I feel as though I have lost a day. I wasn't sick or anything, just had this nauseous feeling that made me spend most of the afternoon and evening on the sofa. Anyway, it appears to have gone now - probably one of the many bugs that are doing the rounds. I feel much better now but it makes me really sympathise with those of you, like PenPin, who have to live with illness all the time. You are very brave people - I tried very hard not to feel sorry for myself because I knew the feeling would pass.
Well, the sun is shining and it looks like it will be quite a nice day - it's still dreadful for July, though, isn't it?
Today I have to do a bit more paperwork, try and get some more wedding favours done - at least I am on a roll with those now and would have got quite a lot more done yesterday if I hadn't felt unwell. I will try and get them all finished by the end of next week because the wedding is less than a month away now. I need to get a hot pink tie for DH but I have seen one on eBay for £4.99 plus £1.25 postage so I will order that today. I don't think it's a colour he will wear often so I don't want to spend a lot! The main theme to the wedding is hot pink and all the men are wearing ties that colour. Luckily, I sorted out my outfit a while ago so, once we have his tie, we shall be all organised.
DH is due home tomorrow evening and there was so much I thought I'd get done while he was away; I think I've done quite well, though, but I have also lazed around quite a lot!
Well, I'd better go and have a shower and get the day going. I shall run all my errands today and give the house a good clean tomorrow.
Hope everyone has a good day.
See you later.

Well, as promised here's the link (if I have done it properly) to the picture of my new granddaughter. She is absolutely gorgeous and has the lovely name of Ella Louise (thank goodness!!). Mum, dad and baby doing well and her little sister can't stop smiling. Apparently one of the nurses is going to show her how to bath her little sister today. Looking forward to seeing the pics of that lol.

Morning all;)
Think this is the earliest i've ever posted here, but been awake since 5am deciding whether to go into work, and the decision is I'M NOT GOING!!!:T :T I have a cold, sore throat and a weird rash all over my arms and neck, so God knows what's up with me apart from sheer exhaustion and stress:rolleyes:  Tbh I don't care though, as they can get another supply in even cheaper than me, and the work's all set, so it's only me losing out really[strike]on the money!!!:([/strike]
Mum rang last night, and apparently Dad keeps losing his balance, so she's worried about him having a fall and breaking his brittle bones:eek:   I'm worried he might be becoming paralysed as that often happens with this type of cancer:( I need to see him today, but am worried about passing this cold on:o
Anyway enough whinging from me today, and HUGGLES to all in need, and HAPPY B'DAY to RZL xxxxx

Morning all,
there's actually a glimpse of blue sky out the window - it won't last... :rotfl:
Kaat, you're up & being industrious very bright & early, well done! N9eav, good luck with the fishing competition today. How's your chicks all doing now? Are they old enough to lay their own eggs yet?? Getting chickens is really becoming the "in thing" to do - everyone I speak to is getting some or thinking of it.
Snowy, now you've got me thinking of banana bread & today I was really going to try & start a diet....
Dogrose, sorry to hear about DSs theory test, but better news on the back pay though?
Hester, I agree with Candygirl, your writing is always very entertaining & we all enjoy your blog. Do you have a college or uni near you that runs creative writing classes (or are they the expensive ones??).
Kathy, glad to hear you are feeling a bit better. That queasy feeling is horrible when it won't go away.
Chrisca, Ella Louise is a lovely name & she looks gorgeous. I bet you'll love cuddling her!!!
Candygirl, good for you - doesn't sound like you are in any fit state to be going in & I think a day at home looking after yourself is exactly what's needed.
(((((hugs))))) to all those needing them - I won't list names as there are so many & I don't want to forget someone - so please take them as you need them.
Today will be mainly taken up by the preparations for oldest DD's prom tonight. She wants her dress taken in a bit this morning, then driving into town (and back) to get her hair done, then I'm sure there will be plenty of other bits that need doing this afternoon....

Morning
:bdaycake: Rzl, have a good one
Mioliere, glad you are feeling better and back on form
Dogrose, have a great holiday :j
N9eav, hope you catch lots of fish
Chrisca, congratulations on being a Grandma, it's the best job in the world
My Remoska arrived yesterday, and I made some flapjacks - OHs comment "are they supposed to be that soggy" I don't know why I bother, sometimes I feel like the mother in Butterflies
Babysitting DGD tonight, I don't know if you remember but we had a major panic about DS and GF wedding, where the venue had also booked a rock concert for the same day, and there was a scramble to try to book another venue. Anyway, they have ended up with somewhere far nicer, and tonight are going for a food tasting session to decide the wedding menue.
Off to Asda later, and dinner tonight will be a takeaway.
Have a great day everyone xYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0
