John Lewis make an Outlast quilted mattress protector. It is expensive though - £68 for a standard double. It is on their website.0

Hi, i am looking for some help, i have just bought my first house and i am looking to buy my first bed.
I dont like the look of divan beds so was looking at a slatted frame. I was wondering what sort of mattress i should be looking for. I am 6'1 and around 100kg and am looking for a firm mattress.
I was wondering where i should look for my mattress i dont want to touch the dreams chain and what sort of price range should i be looking at? I had initially set aside £400 for a mattress.0 -
Tim, the matress that I confessed to having bought in haste in October is as you rightly predicted is no longer fit for purpose. My poor daughter, bless her, rarely complains but she mentioned that it hurts her body
I can also feel the uncomfortable springs when I am tucking her in at night.
I don't want to make a cheapie mistake again and will act less in haste next time.
I am currently looking at John Lewis. Is this any good? http://www.johnlewis.com/230479916/Product.aspx
I totally trust your impartiality and would appreciate it if you could just point me to a good product!DEBT FREE AND LOVING LIFE0 -

It all depends on if you are prepared to make a few simple modifications or not?0 -

I do keep saying that to get more for your money you should stay away from big brands and big retailers.0 -
Hi
Just wondering if anyone can suggest some good companies to look at with regard to buying a new mattress.
I've looked at argos & dreams but i'm sure there are better places to buy from - they seem a little expensive, but i may be wrong!
I'd appreciate suggestions for either online or stores.
We're looking for a kingsize, pocketsprung mattress. I was thinking of the airsprung make as i believe they are not part of the Silentnight group (will never buy Silentnight again!).
If you have any suggestions for a good make of mattress i'd be very grateful
Thanks0 -
