    what about this one?

I've just tries going on the Joseph web site but appears to be down. However, from what I recall they are the same company as Sweet Dreams, but Joseph were the lower end.

Pocket sprung is better, but I wouldn't bother with a low end one.

I'm looking for a single mattress to use on the floor of a spare room. It will be used regularly so looking for a good quality firm one for between £250-£280. Any thoughts on what type is best suitable for using on a floor?

Hey all, I've been set a task by my dad to look for a new mattress for him and my mum.
He recently had a serious accident at work which happened to damage a side of his addomen (liver, lower ribs and spline)
He wants to get a decent mattress to make it easier for sleeping obviously...!

A few spec's he mentioned: 800 - 1000 pocketsprungs with memory foam too. Its a double bed with a hard base (draws underneath).

I've had a quick scan and found this http://www.bedsdirect2u.co.uk/product/S100SLEZ-DIVINEPS-MFM.aspx?src=GoogleBase

Its a Sleepeezee Memory Divine - they any good?

    Thanks for reading :)

I've just checked out the ebay store of bedlum beds to see what teh feedback as a seller was like and of the 13 mattresses and beds sold in the last month 1 gave negative feedback citing a 6 week turnaround.

Personally I wouldn't trust giving away that sort of money on a company with less than 100% feedback in our current climate especially if negative feedback is about supply issues. The sad fact is at the moment we are in a recession and a lot of independent businesses (as well as large stores) are going bust.

If you do go with bedlum beds make sure you pay via paypal and apply for a refund through the paypal seller guarantee straight away if you have not received the product within 28 days.

I take it that when you talk about the base that he already has a base because the link only shows a mattress. If he's seriously damaged then a deep memory foam mattress like the ergoflex one would probably suit him better. If you look at their blog they gave away one of these mattresses to a tetraplegic who is a volunteer for the Back Up Trust charity on Deal or no Deal.

Otherwise you can spend a bit more (OK a lot more) for a Tempur mattress. I hope that helps :)

After a firm, (but preferably not full of spings you can feel when u lay down ) double mattress for a room i let out, obviously the cheaper the better and possibly (but not essential) delivered

I've got a memory foam one, cost £300 and I love it to bits but dont really want to stretch to that, anyone know of a good place to get a cheap but firm and comfy mattress?

    Thanks in advance

I'd go for a good quality open coil sprung mattress, as it will withsatand being moved about better than a pocket sprung.

You can get top of the range open coil sprung for under £150.

Sleepeezee are middle of the range. You can usually get more for your money by going for a smaller independent manufacturer.
