    Any opinions welcome.....

I thought you had alredy bought it?
  • Is this one any good?

    http://www.sleepmasters.co.uk/divan-beds/princess-ortho-805.html

The added bonus with this one, is we can have it interest free for 10 months.

As buying a bed seems to be unecessarily complicated, and from what I have heard today, full of reps who dont seem to have any idea what they are talking about, I am now totally confused.

Dont buy from Sleepmaster, if you back through the comments you will see a few of us have bought mattresses with them and are now fighting with customer service to get our money back or replacement products.
  • Hi all,

I have been researching mattresses for a week or so now, having just taken delivery of a new wooden sleigh bed. Been to a local showroom & have decided on a pocket sprung mattress.

Being an allergy sufferer, and after a lot of consideration, I have decided to go for an organic mattress, as I am a bit put off by the use of chemicals on something which I will be sleeping on every night.

However there doesn't seem to be a big range out there. I was wondering if anyone on here has had any experience of buying a mattress from either 'Warren Evans' or 'Abaca'? Both seem to make good quality organic mattresses, although both seem pricey. But on the positive side, is it worth spending a bit more for good quality, natural materials?

Any opinions on this would be much appreciated!

If you are an allergy sufferer then you would be better off with a synthetic hypoallergenic mattress. Organic mattresses are a great breeding ground for dust mites etc...

I don't really know much about Dreamland Beds, but they are a small independent company based in Birmingham. I've had a look on their web site, and they don't even say much about the spec of the bed on there. So it may be worth contacting them to find out more about the spec:

    http://www.dreamlandbeds.co.uk/

As for the Kozeesleep, what did the label look like? The reason I ask is because there are two Kozeesleeps (Kozeesleep and Kozee Sleep), and one is higher quality than the other.

Thanks Tim, it was Kozee Sleep, and not Kozeesleep so I know it's not the better of the two, but I was still curious as to whether it was still better quality than the Dreamland! As you suggested, I've emailed Dreamland for their spec so I'll get back to you on that one if you wouldn't mind taking a look

    I'd be happy to.

Hi- after much confusion and putting off I just took delivery of two Romantica single mattresses for my teenagers beds- hope the name doesn't give them ideas...
Anyway,I am really pleased with them, particularly when I look at the skanky ikea mattresses they have been moaning about for ages. I think they will be ok on slats from what I hear on here- if money had been no object I would have gone for something fancier, but my DD's are very happy, and the delivery service from Bedlum was fantastic- a half hour slot given and they arrived 5 minutes into it...so thanks for all the various posts, I found them helpful.

I haven't read all 130 pages of this thread so forgive me if this has been covered before. I am looking for advice about mattress toppers. I foolishly bought an expensive superking mattress at great expense about four years ago. It was a pocket sprung mattress with a latex topping which was suppose to make for extra comfort. Within two weeks, we discovered that the latex depressed in the area where we each slept but didn't recover. The bed started to look like a pair of coffins with covers on it. We complained to the place where we bought it and they negotiated replacement mattresses (two singles) which gave us exactly the same problem. We have been using these since that time and I wondered whether we could improve the situation by placing a mattress topper over the mattress. I have seen memory foam and goose feather and down toppers but I haven't a clue as to which type would be suitable or what the benefits of each are. Can anyone give me the benefit of their experience of these toppers so that I don't make another mistake. I live in spain so I need something that isn't going to make us too hot in summer.

    Hi.

You should never use a topper to try and revive a worn out mattress. You would have to replace the mattresses.

I'm not up on spanish law, but it would be worth finding out what your rights are. How long did it take for the faults to appear, and how long was it before you complained?

Did you buy the mattresses in Spain, or did you take them out there......if so what make and model are they?

What part of Spain do you live in?

Hi Tim many thanks, I will have a look at some hypoallergenic mattresses, hadn't thought of that and don't really know much about them ....

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
