Hi, am new, have just read your thread and had to reply as we are having exactly the same with our sensaform bed. Am also in contact with Trading Standards and the Financial Ombudsman, who are putting us in touch with Black Horse Finance who can help with your claim if you bought it on credit. a lot of negative reports re sleepmasters on this site. Good luck to you .0

In fact the room was pretty cold, but the duvet was the same as I'm used to. I don't think the feeling of heat was my major concern, but kind of contributed to the other factors. After lying on a few beds I think I need a softer-feeling mattress that doesn't give very much. This is the opposite of this one, which gives a lot but feels hard.
I am torn over finding a mattress with a pillow top which is possibly a gimmick but feels very confortable. It also makes it non-turn, and I know the opinions about that on this forum.
Does anyone have first-hand experience of Harrison mattresses?0 -

Hope I haven't made a mistake. Will let you all know...
Hi all,
Well I have my La Romantica, Venice, 2 sided, pocket sprung, memory foam mattress a week now. Have slept on it 4 or 5 nights. Just on floor. Haven't sorted a base yet. It is very comfortable. Softer than I expected but I am happy about that. Time will tell if it lasts but for now I would recommend it.
Happy shopping!
Thanks for the advice Tim. Glad I followed it.
Oh, and just for those doubters out there I didn't buy it from Tim.0 -

Hi Tim
I finally purchased an Apollo Calypso this week. Although it is comfortable there is 'snag' near the edge on the top - see image: http://img3.imageshack.us/my.php?image=various034za4.jpg
I have contacted the seller about it but I am not sure how serious it is- do you think I need to get i replaced as it is likely to worsen? or do you think if I am offered some money back I should take that?
thanks in advance0 -
After weeks of reading and looking I would be grateful if someone may have any views on the following mattresses. (Ideally I would like the La ROMANTICA, Venice but this is out of my price range.)
1) Sleepeezee Sonata from local bedshop kingsize 2000 springs 70MM memory foam no turn £350
2) http://www.bedstar.co.uk/shop/customer/product.php?productid=28089&cat=&page=2
3) http://www.littlewoodsdirect.com/rf/lxd/p.do/serenity-pocket-latex-medium-firm-mattress?Ntx=mode+matchallpartial&SNtt=mattress&groupId=558513284&Nu=this_product&SNtk=littlewoods_search&Np=1&SN=101+85&Ntt=558513284&D=558513284&Ntk=group_search&Dx=mode+matchall&thisprod=343840164&N=101+85&Nty=1&Mis_item_id=15&Mis_item_loc_id=1&product=343840164
This whole mattress thing is now driving me mad.
Thank-you in advance for any advice.

Personally I'd get it replaced in case the snag runs.0 -

Hi.
1. Has too many springs (try to stay between 1000 and 1800). 70mm of memory foam is a little too deep, but should be ok if you like being warm in bed. What is the density of the memory foam?
2. Doesn't say anything about the number of springs. Also doesn't say anything about the depth or density of the memory foam. This mattress is the cheaper reflex foam encapsulated pocket spring type that often use much smaller pocket springs.
3. Don't even go there.
Try an independent manufacturer as you tend to get far more for your money.0 -
How can you tell #2 uses encapsulated pocket springs? Can you tell from the page or is it just that it's the only type Sleepeezee do? I'm just wondering if there are any tell tale signs when looking online.
You'll probably say Google now, won't you?0 -

There are a few signs to look for. Some are an indication on their own, others are where there is more than one sign:- Very low price for pocket sprung/memory foam.
- A flat top on the mattress rather than hand tufted.
- If the mattress comes vacuum packed.
- If there is no mention of the number of springs.
- Very few details in the spec.
- Prod the side of the mattress, if it is foam on the side then the springs are reflex foam encapsulated.
