Is the "Kozee Sleep Duchess" a good one?
It was one I considered buying recently, but I needed a firmer mattress. It ticks all the right boxes, i'd recommend it...
    Specification:
    1. Hand sewn Belgian damask
    2. 1500 pocket springs in the standard double mattress
    3. Pure lambs wool, cotton and polyester fillings
    4. Hand tufted mattress
    5. Flag stitched handles and breather vents

    Thanks for the reply TiTheRev.
Just how soft was it, medium or medeium to firm?

After a quick search I found it for 299 in kingsize. seems a great price for it, but would a memory foam/latex topped mattress offer a better nights sleep?

It's actually classed soft, not medium or medium firm. Medium firm may have tempted me...

It says on the website that i found it that it is a medim?
    Rated 6 in a scale of 1-10
Teh "ortho pocket " rates as 8 on this site (hard)

6 they say is their best selling grade "firm enough to support the back, but with some give"
8 is "traditionally firm feel, sometimes incorrectly called orthopeadic"

I guess they can be made to slightly different specs if hand made then?

recently tried the duchess matress and it was really to soft for us, ended up with the caversham which we found had a better feel.........trouble is it is a bit subjective, down to personal taste in the end

To throw another spanner in my allready overworked cerebrum, i found a Vogue 1500 pocket sprung mattress with memory foam or latex top for a reasonable price. Are they any goo is the (another) question?

The springs are rated as soft to medium, but they way they have done the quilting gives it a soft feel.

Thanks Tim. Better to go for the 1000 spring Kozee with memory foam or the 1500 pocket springs only?
Thanks for all your help on this thread. Nice for people to be able to get good solid advice on these things.
