Ah, I knew 9 gauge was not firm, but must have misread the spec.
We are all relative novices compared though Tim:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things. Please don't be offended if that opinion differs from yours, but feel free to click the 'Thanks' button if it's at all helpful!0 -
OMG !!!!
And I was so close to actually ordering that one TODAY !!!!
PLEASE.... Rather than keep telling me the ones I pick out are rubbish by rubbish makers.
Can anyone please tell me which is a good one then?
Otherwise I may as well just post ever matress in the UK here and ask which one0 -

Previously recommended brands have been Relyon, Staples/Myers, La Romantica, Harrison, Restus... Maybe search for those and see what you can get?:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things. LOL, I second that. I appreciate the rules of the forum dictates that you steer clear from recommending specific manufaturers and/or stores but it would have been easier if this wasn't the case ;-)0 -

Thanks Ti, will search on those.
BTW, could someone perhaps list/name some/all 'independent' resellers of mattresses in the London region?
Cheers!0 -
It's more the mattress manufacturers that need to be independants, rather than the sellers, although they can go together. The 'bigger' manufacturers tend to produce lower quality for higher turn over and profit, but the smaller guys have to rely on quality to sell products more than advertising.:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things. Yes I know, it can be very frustrating. It makes me sound very negative because all I can do is comment on any models that are mentioned. If someone asks about a model or brand that I sell then I can't even reply. If someone recommends anything that could be even slightly related to anything to do with me then the stalkers get it removed.
This all means that contrary to what some trouble makers have said in the past, giving advice on here actually meand that people can't even legitimately recommend my company, because the post will be removed.
So just read the general advice that I give, and don't get too frustrated if it takes loads of posts before you get a result.0 -

Try to search on Google for on line stores. They will be far cheaper than shops.
Check their return policy, then actually call them for advice. If they have a satisfaction guarantee then it is in their interest to make sure you get the most suitable bed, otherwise it will cost them to replace it.0 -

Like you say Ti, the two often go together. This is because the big chain stores only tend to use the big brands with the huge automated production lines.0
