HI Tim,
Thanks for your comments above - helpful (or should I say that it wasn't what I wanted to hear; now I have to spend hours researching which bed is the best for my budget,)
Came across this one - British no doubt, but any good??
I've had a look around on various website tonight and to be honest the choice in continental size mattresses is not very good. Perhaps I'm being a bit silly having to go for one? I mean, there must be plenty of people who are 5"10' + who manage to get by fine with a regular size bed. Maybe the all sleep in foetus position:rotfl:
Anyway, I'll spend some time on here tomorrow, reading up on stuff and then hopefully I'll come to some sort of decision.0 -
i apologize if i have misjudged Tim x0

========= EDIT =========
To my Untrained eye, these both SOUND very good from the adverts, and I would really appreciate anyone here's thoughts on either model.:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things. hi,
had a quick flick thru the thread and to be honest a lot of its going over my head:eek:
i'd be greatful tho if one or two of you could give comment on this mattess, is a good deal or a case of inflating the original price to make the reduced price seem a bargain?
cheers james

What is your criteria and budget? Well, IMHO, the Rest Assured is the better of those two and have been recommended here without any quality issues being commented. Again though, not heard of the other one, so it's hard to judge quality...? Both write-ups look good (they're supposed to I guess!), but still dont mention turnability.
Thanks for that
I must admit to feeling very lost in the Matress Jungle as I can only look at adverts/specs and hope to get comments from others who know a lot more than I do.
I need to place an order for delivery early next week.0 -
Rather hold out and get the right deal, rather than rush it and regret it later. We slept on two singles while I worked out which mattress we wanted/needed. Not ideal, but better than rushing in and having to get another new one a year or two down the line:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things. Don't know why I had that one mixed up?! Must have been thinking of Restus!

As you'd expect at that price, it's not the best quality. The guage of the support rod is not great, so will be a bit wallowy (IYKWIM?) and Ive never heard of the company so it's hard to pass comment on quality of manufacture or reputation. It doesn't immediately inspire

Hold on a second Ti.........12.5 gauge is a firm open coil spring unit (so won't be wallowy). The 9 gauge frame bit is missleading, I presume it should say 9 gauge steel rod edge.
Looking at the the way the quilting is done it appears that it is a middle (rather than top) of the open coil sprung mattress range.
What they appear to have done is used the shop price (rather than the their on line price), as the original price.0 -

The one on the link is way over priced, but that is what you would expect from places like M&S and JL. Go to an independent seller who will most likely use at least one or two independent manufacturers. Most of them would be happy to supply continental size for just a small extra cost (but still far cheaper than the one in the link).0
