I tried out a memory foam/pocket sprung mattress yesterday in a shop & found it nice & soft. Am I correct in thinking, first thing in the morning when the shop is cold the memory foam is much firmer?
Would it be worth me going to a shop first thing to lie on one?
When you lie on a memory foam mattress, how long does it take, on average, to start moulding to your body - ie. is it within 10mins or more like 30mins?
Is £300 - £400 the price I should be looking at for a mid range foam/pocket sprung mattress?0 -
I was told friday in a supplier that the madrid was firmer than the venice, cannot comment on the milan sorry.........Can anyone tell me the difference between the following please:
La Romantica Milan, Venice and Madrid. Am I correct in thinking the Venice is medium firm?

Hi Tim, poverty stricken at the mo' - same as most of us no doubt :-)
I think I have about 350 to spend, but that would have to include delivery too i think.
Not looking hopeful though eh!? :-(0 -

Just to say I went into the back of a carpet store on Saturday and looked and layed on some "SleepRight" beds (had a sale on they said) Raning from £299 for an 800 pocket spung with some memory foam on top (non turn) right thru to almost £1000 for a matress with loads of springs and fancy coverings. Also the same make did memory foam ones.
I guess is another low quality high street brand?
But (to the novice) they SEEMED fine.
One thing I did note though. they did have a "Official" soft(ish) Tempur memory foam matress in there which I sat on and it definatly sunk into your shape as you laid there. I will say one thing though.........
I don't see how anyone could do "Other things other than sleep" (if you know what I mean) on a softish memory foam matress as there's zero spring and you just sink in..... !!!!!
