Hi Tempy, I think you're right about 'other' activities being a no-no on a memory foam! I read something on a review for one some time back that said just that!
Not good to find out on your honeymoon eh!?:rotfl:

Actually the ones with springs and 2" of memory foam cause no problem at all, although my 4 year old son gets frustrated when he tries to bounce on our bed because the memory foam acts like a shock absorber :rotfl: .
This is actually another reason (that isn't usually mentioned) why the springs and 2" of memory foam is the best combination. Tempur use 3" of memory foam on top of reflex foam.0 -
Morning Tim
would that combo make for a soft feel bed? Could I try for that as well as look for a pocket spring?0 -

I'm afraid not. The softest memory foam mattress that would still give you good support would be a medium. This is because the memory foam MUST be high density to give you the support it is designed to. If you want a soft mattress then you are better off going for pocket sprung only.0 -

seriously considering a hammock!!0 -
Any idea what's a medium and medium soft mattress feel for back pain sufferer? I am just concerned about my husband, I do not think he will like the memory foam as it has a soft feel and your body tends to sink into it. I am so confused I will think I will end up buying an orthopaedic mattress.0

Memory foam does not have a soft feel, or it shouldn't do anyway. If you find a memory foam mattress that is soft, then it isn't worth having because memory foam needs to be high density to give you the support it is designed to.
The softest memory foam mattress should be no softer than medium.
The memory foam should be between 60 and 70kg per m3.
If you like a soft mattress then go for pocket sprung only.0 -

Best bet, to find comfort and type requirements would be to find a local independant and test them out! Once you know what you want you can find the best prices...:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things.
