Aww thnaks Tim, I was balming my dad:o
Will look on google, Thanks again.0 -
I know this is off topic a bit, but it does still apply to 'Which Mattress':
I've just got off the phone from La Romantica Beds, and due to the number of people who are unconvinced that their two sided memory foam/pocket sprung mattress won't make them too hot, they are developing a new seasonal mattress. It will be pocket sprung with memory foam on one side but on the other sided it will be like a normal mattress, possibly quilted with natural fillings.
I don't know what it's going to be called, or how much it will cost yet, but I just thought I'd let you know in case there is anyone who is undecided about memory foam.0 -
Thanks Tim this new mattress sounds exactly what I wanted so I can use the memory side in the summer and the other side with the heated under blanket in the winter - I think someone must have made this just for me !
When do they reckon they will be for sale ?0 -

I suppose you can use it that way around yes. It was actually intended to be used the other way around, but as you like to be really warm in bed, then there is no reason why not.
From what they said I should think it will probably be ready within the next month.0 -
Tim, Im gonna have a look online for beds and will let you know of my results. If you feel it is still overpriced, will you then recommend somewhere?0

If you show me a link to the sort of thing you are interested in, then I'll see what I can find for you.0 -
Thanks for all the advice, mattressman want £55 to return it if I read it correctly. The silent night is very bad, only good bit of mattress is the ridge running down the middle , and it started on its way after about 4 years so well over due to be replaced as OH can vouch by the state of his back. Got lots of looking online to do I think.0

There are sellers out there who will let you return it for free.
To be honest you are lucky that a Silentnight lasted anywhere near 4 years.
A good quality mattress should give an average of 7 to 10 years good service as long as it is looked after properly.0 -
Something that has this base (it looks strong): http://www.wilkinsonplus.com/invt/0265061
I like the brushed silver effect on this, also the frame is alright- I want somehting homely and comfy looking- unlike the Wilkinson one this one looks more comfy and homely lol

Also this one is nice:

It can be silver or ivory. I hope you kind of get the kinda bed I am after. With a nice frame, slatted base. Want a double but would go for a king if its not too much.
Appreciate all help Tim!0 -
Hi,
I hope this is the right place to ask this question. Seems to be the latest thread. I need to buy a king size memory foam mattress which will go on a divan bed and a double size memory mattress that will go on like a bed stand sort of bed - sorry not sure how to describe it. Its basically a metal frame with no drawers. A bedstead perhaps?
Judging by what Tim was saying earlier, is it not possible to have the Madrid mattress on the king sized divan? Would the Madrid only be suitable on the double bed bedstead (frame type)?
Thanks0
