:rotfl: I love that quote, that's brilliant.

So far I have reduced my outgoings/increased my savings account balance by: £16.80 a month
Lots more bill-slashing in progress :D

I bought a really lovely dress from Primark, marked down to £5. Put it through the wash and all the buttons fell off! I only get my socks from Primark now (they make good socks!) and just hang on until Vera Moda or H&M are having a mini sale or something. I have a old 60's suitcase under my bed filled with dresses, so I just pull a dress I haven't worn in ages out of that if I want a clothing fix now!

Full of energy this morning, had a fruit salad for breakfast so i think that might be it  Been given orders to order my mum a book off of amazon, for my dad to give her for christmas, so I've told him I'll do that only he has to pay my board this week. (book equals my board, not cheating him or anything! Plus I won't have time to go to the cash point friday so it's worked out well) Spent £10 in asda last night for mine and franks dinner today. but I did buy myself some sugar snap peas + breadsticks as a snack. Plus some green and blacks white chocolate because I ate the bar that was bought for baking :o

£310 in the bank after board, check me out! :j

I'm sure my phone bill comes out this week (24th?) And I'm trying to stick to my £30 budget. Going shopping with mum tomorrow (new shoes!) so i'll try to stay good. If I get the money out the bank I'll be more careful with it.

heya just seen you over on dinahs thread and it reminded me to pop over and say hi.
Nothing much has been happening here, especially on the moneysaving front. I need phone credit desperately but I will make it last till monday at least... maybe tuesday/wednesday if im just rude to my friends!! Can't seem to get to grips with the scratchcard thing I keep reading about and going to a party I know will be expensive tonight so im just going to take not a lot of cash and go home early I think. ah well. Having a few too many treats this weekend I think but I hope everything will balance out and im going to try and sort my different bank accounts out once and for all!!
Hope everythings going ok with you and your bank balance is looking good - just one thing... is that in your current account or a savings account cos you really should think about moving it to savings and start earning some interest if you aren't allready!!
how's Franks job going by the way? hope he's really enjoying it and everything!

He is enjoying it, if not he's covering it well!!

Hope you have fun tonight. With all the saving ect it nice to treat yourself one weekend every so often!

That's my current account, I don't have a saving accounts yet (i know, i know) i just like having it all in one place. But i'm going to go down to the bank and sort one out face to face, i didn't feel too good doing it over the phone last time!

Been shopping this morning, I got some new shoes (£15 from Clarks, mum bought them though) A very nice purple clarks bag (£5, mum treated me to this too!) and a nice fleecey jumper hoodie from Cotton traders (£12.99)

So total spend today is £12.99

But going for food before the arena tonight so it will cost me another £10 there.

I've just started a spending diary thingy. Using my receipts so it's abit more detailed. It's quite fun!

Spent about £30 today. Bought me and Frank an Indian from asda. We normally get one of their take away for 2 things but today we got the things seperately, came to about £5 so we saved about £2 and actually had more! We ate at 12 and i'm still full now. Also got his younger twin brother and sister an annual each, High school musical and Ben 10 as it was their birthday yesterday. 2 for £7 so not bad! Also got my dinner for tomorrow and filled Franks car up.

Spent £12 last night, bought my dinner and drinks at the arena with that (Snuck my own chocolate in) so not too bad!

My budget for this week is scrapped too  still, going to give it my best and try to have a NS-week until friday. I'm 10 tracks off of my first STP payout now so i'm going to give that a go (after merlin, of course!)

Hope you can get your budget back on plan!!
