That's good Doom_and_Gloom! :T It's a good idea keeping it in your parents names until you need it. Hopefully you'll have all the pennies you need once you have it in your name. I'd be all too tempted to spend it.

Decided last night that with my extra wages I was going to sponser a dog with the dogs trust, So I've picked one called Podge! £2 week which is £8.67 a month, I think.
Found out that if I do it through pigsback I'd get 700 PB points, so with them along with the points I'll get when I order franks christmas presents I can get someone a voucher for christmas.

Yes the reason I'm keeping it in my parents name is so I don't spend it. I don't usually spend much money to be honest but I want to make sure.

It's cool about the dog trust :) . I also sponser an animal charity. I give £7 a month which is the least I could do by them but the most I could afford at the time of starting :rotfl: . I'm happy with it being this even though I could give more now :o .

I've worked out that my work have been over paying my tax or certain and by my Friday pay cheak I would have paid over £100 extra tax  . When I receive this back (hopefully soon) I will put this in my deposit account  . I'm so hoping it's this month as that means ALOT more than I thought could be saved this month :T .

Hope everyone is doing well saving :). Especially you Cinny91 ;) .

Hopefully you'll get the tax back this month, when my mum got hers I think it was in the same month she found out about it. Bit of a miracle really, she works for the council and they're constantly fudging things up.

Had 2 NSDs this month, today wont be one because me and frank are off to meadowhall this afternoon as we haven't been in aaaages. And I have a hankering to go to the disney shop :)

At Work - Just over an hour to go until I've finished. I've got nothing to do, and there isn't a single person in the office I can bug for work. So I've been sat here since about 10 musing with a cup of coffee in my hands. Thank god it's friday tomorrow, the work load is normally lighter on a thursday but never full stop like this. I really cannot be bothered with meadowhall this afternoon I'll just spend money I don't need too, might try and change our plans to a trip to a supermarket for dinner + a movie. I'm in the mood for chilli dogs.

    It's friday! :j

Got a headache which isn't helped by office lighting and computers. Starting to get S.A.D I think, the weather is terrible, did not want to get up this morning! I think I hit the snooze button about 6 times.

Didn't go to meadowhall yesterday, we're going today instead because Frank wants to use his waterstone vouchers and I need some big woolie cardies and slippers/slipper socks.

Still got about £100 in savings, but I've started keeping a £150 float.

Spent most of my wages already this week. In all fairness it was for stuff I did actually need so I'm not feeling too guilty.

Not done much in the way of making moniez, but I did have a NSD yesterday and going for another today.

hope everyone had a nice weekend! I'm personally having big brother withdrawal symptoms.

Just ordered my mums christmas present. So that's her almost sorted, just going to make her a mini hamper with tea, hot chocolate + horlics nearer christmas.

My dads present is in the post, going to make the same sort of hamper for dad, but with afew more bits.

Buying my brothers next weekend then its just Franks to get, going to wait until after my parents birthdays to buy his bits because I know I'll go mental buying him stuff.

Going to have to re-write my lists and sort out presents today after work. I seem to be constantly buying or waiting for someones christmas present to come, but I'm actually saving a fair bit on what I spent last year so it's all good!!

Heya - wow - Christmas nearly sorted allready? you are waaay too organised!
I've got the bfs 21st to deal with in a month so all my effort (and cash!) is going on that really!
haven't really been online much recently though because I've been working a lot and got a good amount of overtime (which pays a little better than regular time!) last week. :j just have to get it when I get paid on friday but I think that they are taxing me too much which is horrid as i'll have to claim it all back later in the year - I've decided to sort of see this as a savings scheme though - just to put a positive shine on it!
Me and the boy have decided we want to go skiing next year - not a cheapo holiday so that needs saving for as well!!
Have you changed your work hours yet?
whats the balance on the savings account btw?
