aw you cutie! The thing about getting a train is that then we're stuck and can't go anywhere once I'm there, and I have to rely on other people to pick me up from and drop me off at the stations and all of that jazz, and I have to change trains and its about £30 return so after all that I think its better to just drive and go less! And maybe when I go I can bring him back with me (hehe) saving him some trainfare!
I'll pm you with my email address yeah - I've just helped J by email write some reviews for trusted places so hopefully he can get his voucher too! He wants to buy a game but it isnt released untill october, you wouldn't know if you pay for things when you pre-order them would you? or if you pay later?!
You should look at that A+L account that Villafan said by the way, because if you can sign up, you could get Frank to too, presuming he's under 21!

Thanks Tinkerbel, Just invited you to bview! I keep on looking at the A&L page, thinking I might cancel the savings account (still no letter) and move my current account to that because it looks really good.

I pre-ordered my brother the mighty boosh book for his birthday and I think I paid when I pre-ordered. Although I bought a peep show dvd at the same time, so that might be the reason why!

awesome, thanks! I want to pre order my boy an xbox game and he will be very pleases if I can buy it with my vouchers! :)
I've got the email and I'll sign up when I get chance to write something. The only thing is is it says "subscribe to me and view all of my reviews?!" I'm guessing that meals you do benefit from me joining?! I hope so but you'll have to let me know lol!
I've been bad today - I bought phone top up and a new bag for uni and now I have to hope a cheque in my account clears in time or I won't be able to pay my rent on the 1st! oops :(

I'll check to make sure I clicked the right one I just saw 'invite your friends' and thought 'hey ho!'

Hope you can get the game with your vouchers! What game is it he wants? I'm working towards another £10 voucher on a different site to hopefully knock some money off a DVD for Frank.

Don't feel bad about the top up and bag, it's stuff you need so you don't need to feel guilty! I was invited shopping tomorrow but I had to say no because of my spend on saturday. Might just take money for dinner and go anyways, leaving my bank card and visa at home. It's either that or have a bank holiday pamper day, haven't decided yet. Just logging onto onepoll now to try and up my money. I think I'm on £5.15 now.

Lol I've had one payment from onepoll before but it takes ages to rack up and they only have loads of competition survey things at the moment which I dont usually bother with!
At least when I topped my phone up I got loads of vouchers for boots stuff (I needed £15 so did 3 lots of £5 transactions and got £30 worth of vouchers!)
I went to a carbootsale yesterday and bought loads of bits, spent about a 10er but I got my boy some xbox magazines, got him an in car phone charger, some other random stuff and most excitingly --- A pair of old curtains that I am making a dress (for me obv) out of today!! How are your dresses you were doing going? I don't have any patterns to use to make mine so I've roped in mum and we're just winging it!
The game he wants is gears of war I think (although I swear he allready has it but hey !) I dont like the xbox. It means I hardly ever see him and he spends about £35 per month on a game or accessory or some other rubbish! He is mega overdrawn but still buys games  ah well - that's why at least if I get some vouchers he can buy the game under my control and in a better way (I know that sounds wierd but I mean like I can get him the best price, free delivery that sort of thing which he never really cares about finding)

how much is in the savings pot now?!
I reccomend you do that A and L account because 10% is good!! (I don't know how much tax etc you pay but I think it's still good!) and if you can get villafan to refer you because it didnt work for me!
I'm all over the place with money at the moment, I'm ok - I'm waiting for a cheque to clear from inheritance (but this money isnt exactly mine iykwim - I just had to pay it into my a/c before my parents deal with it) and I'll get paid from temping on friday but I have to have the money in my landladys account by the 1st (monday) - I think ill just email her and tell her it will be late.. do you think she will mind? hmm

At least she'll be getting it! :D Better it being late with notice then just late. My Dad and Uncle have some houses they rent out alongside the plumbing lark and are constantly ringing up tenants for rent who just dont seem to care.

Frank is just the same with his PS3! I swear he almost had a heart attack when he saw a metal gear solid advert on tv when it came out. But he's started selling his old games and bits on play.com which he's doing alright with, only bad thing is you have to wait 21days to get the money or something  at least his gaming isn't eating into his wages as much.

Good going with the carboot! Good luck with the dresses, my material is still folded up with the pattern, i'm hopeless. I booked thursday off work to go see some family in London, but my mums car has to go to the garage so it looks like we'll be staying at home so I might rope her in to doing it then.

The pot was just over £40 when I counted it yesterday so we're still doing the £10 a week fairly easily. Doubt I'll add to it much at all this week, there isn't anything i need this week i dont think. So nothing to get change from.

Right!! End of weekend update (counting B/H as weekend, mainly because I forgot to do this yesterday)

Shameful amount of £160 in my bank account:o But then I have no money coming out, or going in, until Friday and with nothing planned at all it should remain un-touched. Plus I have abit of jingle in my wallet just incase I need any.

    ..fingers crossed.

Starting to look at home working jobs, just stuff to do during the week on my afternoons off work. Just for afew extra £ really but not come up with anything. My mum and sister used to do cracker making about 5 years ago but I've asked around and the company closed down. Not a clue what to look for now!

Going into town tomorrow to have a root around home bargains, see if I can find Frank some treats for when he comes home. Got the house to myself tonight because mum and dad are taking the dogs to do training. So I might try to do something productive. I've got my brothers birthday card to make so I'll busy myself with that after some job searching and comp entering.

wicked - I really have been looking for that sort of thing but when I answered adverts online the main thing that got back to me was a company which wanted me to talk dirty on the phone for the same money as slice the pie which I didnt want to at all do so my searches so far have not been fruitful! If you do find anything though, let me know please!!!!
I thought about you today though! huuge article about the Vespa in the telegraph - didnt really read it properly but hey!
  • Vespa? cool little things, I got a Kawasaki zx6r ninja, kinda expensive on the insurance though lol.

My mate loaned me a book the other day all about finance. It sounds boring (and I guess it is) but for people your age it's a great insight. I'm gonna wait til I have enough toluna points to get an Amazon voucher for the updated version  it's called Motley Fool UK Investment Guide if anyone is interested.

I've had a naughty week though :o I've been to Hall Green dog track and made a few too many £2 bets! Then I went out for Puro night at the Slug and Lettuce in Solihull for Bank Holiday. THEN... Monday I went to Evesham on my motorbike and had a meal and bought a few things for my car.

Oh dear, I've got motorbike insurance coming up (which will be about £600), a 3 night trip to Poland on a lad's holiday and a booze cruise for Christmas all in October. Only way is up then :rotfl:
