£600! Blimey. My vespa was £150 for this year. And last year my keeway was £100 ( i think ). But then there is a big jump from a 125cc scooter to a god knows what cc motorbike.

I suppose seeing how we save in alot of other areas we can spoil ourselves everynow and then! Well that's how I see it, otherwise we'd end up with lots of money with !!!!!! all to spend it on.

I haven't come up with anything yet, tinkerbel! Thinking of maybe starting up a dog walking thing to get abit extra money, but insurance is about £150 for a year incase any of the pups were to run off and have an adventure.

Did some spending in town today, nothing major. Just needed some new shampoo. Ending up getting that, treats for Trevor, A book for Frank, a sharpie pen and a stamp for my Dad. Spent about £5, maybe just abit over.

Going to clumber park tomorrow to walk the dogs, then out for dinner with my mum before going to the town museum to look at a friend of my mums art gallery.

Plus I've allready decided to spend all the money on a treat for the boy if I can get hold of what I want at the sale price - whic I hope I can !!
My car insurance was £750 for the year btw - so your vespas sounding pretty reasonable!

I'm very smug when it comes to my vespa! When people complain about petrol prices I say '£5 of petrol does me all week' Which gets on my brothers nerves as it costs him £30++ doing the same trips.

Yeah, it's about 30 mins away! What is it you want to get him? I spent ages saving up for a ds for franks birthday in march, when i was on montly wages. To get told afew weeks down the line he uses it when he uses the 'little boys room'

Did well today, went with mum clothes shopping this afternoon and didn't spend a penny while being dragged around clothes shops. Quite proud!! Going to have about £220 in the bank tomorrow after payday, if my mental maths is right. Any plans for the weekend? I'm just gonna be putting bits on ebay in attempt to make some extra jingle!
  • I think I'm headed for another naughty weekend. I'm going an 80's night at the Slug and Lettuce again tomorrow night, followed by a day in Harborne watching the scores come in whilst drinking Saturday, POSSIBLY going up town on the night to have an evening with a friend who's shortly going travelling. Sunday I shall be going to Villa park to watch my team beat (fingers crossed) Liverpool and Monday I'm meeting a friend for Coffee in Solihull and doing my weekly exercise (5aside footy) on the evening.

I can feel my wallet getting lighter just thinking about it! :o

Well if you can afford it, why not? :D Hope you have fun Villafan!!

Bought the finding nemo tickets, got them for £51 something so spent £10 less than I thought I would. Just trying to find the magnolia bakery vanilla cupcake recipe I use to print off, planning on making some this afternoon. For the butter icing you have to use a massive bag of icing sugar for about 10 cupcakes. I guess that's americans for ya?

wicked! Me too. we hardly ever go to that park though, used to do strawberry picking i think though but we havent been for ages (I dont even know if they still do it lol)
I wanted to get him this camera and I got it yesterday!! :) I wasnt really planning on getting him anything (for his 21st in about 6wks he's getting something massive which I haven't even started properly saving for ) but it was discounted to £67 and I got the same one a year ago for £130 so its his treat for being away for ages and ages.... and ages! He's been working 14 hour days (not including breaks) for the last few days so I think he deserves a treat but hey, like you said - when the boys away, you need to fill that missing space with something, and shopping seems the best way! I got 2 days of temping yday and day before but the work ran out so its back to the waiting game for me :(
    When does frank get back?

We hardly go to clumber park either, normally go to Eaton or Rufford (mainly for driving in the ford) to walk the pooches.
Franks back tomorrow! I've tried to keep myself busy all week though so it's gone quite quickly. £67 for a camera is really good, let alone it being reduced from £130. Technically you can tick that as a massive save. Dreading starting christmas shopping for Frank though, I've started writing a list and it just keeps on growing. The main plan is to get a massive storage box, fill it with wrapped presents as I buy them then before I give him it fill in the gaps with quality streets. The last bit is mainly for myself so I have something to do (/eat) while he opens his presents.

Going to have quite rubbish wages next week, with the B/H and my day off yesterday, so I need to be quite good with my money this week.

Just updating while watching Hairspray: The School Musical. Not spent a penny since friday, but I've earnt £10. £5 for cleaning my dads work van (vair messy, took me 2 hours but i've got it clean and looking dapper inside and out) and another £5 for cleaning my mums little Fiat this morning. And it's be raining all afternoon. *shakes fist*

Got about £220 in the bank, without any going in or coming out now. Doubt I'll be spending anything until thursday (movie afternoon with Frank, need some MSE ideas!) but I'll be using the money i earnt this weekend for that. Hope everyone had a good weekend! And hope you had fun Villafan.
  • I put £180 into my house deposit account * today :T . I was suprised to see the trasaction happen instintaniously (sp?) mind as it's a Sunday  . Then I remembered it's the same bank it's happening in :rotfl: . That is all I put into the account this month (August). Another month starts tomorrow though so more chance for saving :j . I still have over £300 in the account I can get into and have paid the September keep already though so should be able to to in a very nice sum into my deposit account for September  .

*deposit account is in my parents name for me. They were supposed to hand it over to me when I turned 18. I am however letting them keep a hold of it and transfering (sp?) money into it online when I can. This way I have an account I can get into that always has money in it and a deposit account that I can not touch until I need it  . Hopefully it will have a hefty amount in it when that time comes.
I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy :D
