Mornin :hello:
Hester....No you are not a b**ch..... she is so lucky to have a DIL like you who will put up with all the carp thats being dished out, (((((((((HUGS)))))))))
Another fun filled day jumpin in the puddles:rolleyes:
Its stopped for a bit by the looks of it, how long for ....well who knows!!!
Dont you just love this british weather, so varied and errr wet:rotfl:
Well change of plan for last night, my friend was over at her daughters looking after the grandchildren which is miles away, OH went to the AGM with her husband (he rarely baby sits with her) at his club and I had a lovely evening with my feet up on the sofa watching TV with a glass (or 2) of chilled white. I did manage to finish off another matinee jacket for my DIL`s niece, so I was doing something useful too.
OH has just gone off to finish the staircase repairs he started yesterday, hopefully he will be back around lunch time.
We are hoping to go over to see a friend of ours later on, her husband died a month or so ago, we have been friends for over 30 yrs, and it breaks my heart to see her so lost without her OH. We do what we can for her without being too intrusive, I would hate her to think we are trying to take over.
We had a long talk with him before he got too ill, he was worried that friends would drift away when she was on her own, I said "NEVER, we have been friends too long for us to do a thing like that, what sort of friends would that make us"
He was a lovely man its so sad.
Better go I am getting all upset,
Off fot a shower (((((((((HUGS))))))))) to the needy today.
Back later
Anne

Morning! Still raining, and severe weather warnings were given out last night for the west of England, pah! Had to laugh though, when the bloke on the radio said that Glasgow had the best weather yesterday!
Done the odd pots that don't go in the dishwasher, and put on BM - doing dough for rolls, will be hm burgers and wedges tonight with some salad, well the lettuce needs eating lol! Just need to hoover around and dig out whites for washing. But first I'm going to read through here and then have some sleep!
Have a lovely day one and all xxGC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -
Morning all,
raining here tooSo fed up of this, it just seems to be the same year after year now. The sunshine makes people feel much happier, and even if you're feeling really low it helps lift you a bit.
Day at home today, pottering, typing letters for the office. Out tonight to a pub up near Ditchling (back of Brighton) - the plan was to sit in the garden with uni mates, but I think we may well be inside.... (wonder if there's a log fire...).
Hester, I should imagine half the time you feel like having a week off to drink & be depressed, but you get yourself up & keep going - so how dare your MIL complain!!! I agree, tell her it's her turn
Chrisca, it should be happening about now thenLet us know...
Snowy, good luck with the assessment today.
DebbieMC, welcome to you
((((hugs)))) to all those needing them, and hoping poorly children feel better soon too.

mrs mix You were in a dream I had last night (even though I have never met you or seen a photo of you). You were worried about a list or something. How strange.

how strange Annie I always make list's of thing's I have to do and I do have one that I'm getting a bit worried over as it involves a long drive 140 miles round trip and I've not done that sort of mileage on my own for years

the doctor came out and although it wasn't my gp it was another from the surgery and I have a infection deep in my ear can't remember the name:rolleyes: so I have some spray that I have to squirt up my nose and some tablets to stop the dizzy bit the only downside is within 10 minutes of taking the pill's I'm asleep so it's going to be a day of doing nothing today but I am starting to feel better
well it's raining here so no washing on the line ds1 will put it on the airers
I found out yesterday that ds2 has 2 day's off next week due to strikes so I'm expecting the same for dd as there will be no support staff or dinner ladies

Hi all!
Raining here too, so the gardening will be put off for another day again! The garden was neglected by the last owner (and I wasn't much better) and so it is slow progress. At the moment my veggies etc are in containers/grow bags as bushes have taken over most of the garden! Talking of which my lettuce is lovely, my tomato plant and pepper plants are growing nicely but my strawberry plants haven't even floweredanything I can do to help them along?
My Mum called me yesterday as she was in my high street and not feeling well. She had gone with my sister and her daughter to the hospital but needed to get home quickly (they had come by bus) so the two J's and I went to the rescue. My Sister stayed at the bus station to get the bus home and we cancelled dinner last night as we normally go to my Mums. Luckily I had food that I could cook for tea at home, rather than resorting to take out which is what I would have done in the past.
Right off to buy the ingredients for my freezer batch curry and twinks hob nobs! Hugs to everyone and sorry for the mega post!0 -
