    Morning everyone

N9eav thanks for the recipe...it sounds delicious though I suspect you didn't find it in a WeightWatchers recipe book???:rotfl: I'll keep it for one of those days when I feel like making something exceptionally wicked.

I've got another assessment job-search thingy today. I could do without it really - it's so far away and it's a really basic job, though a fantastic company. Don't worry, I am definitely going, and plan to get there at the right time, and yes I have checked the time it starts.

What's our Haribo done now Aussie???

It's a lovely sunny day so far here - maybe I'll get some washing out onto the line later on, and maybe get the lawn mowed too.

It's a "no news day" here, so bye for now.

Another flying visit from me, BIL is in bed, having decided not to work this week, just to drink & be depressed, I know that sounds unkind, but then I'm known for being a callous b1tch.
Hubby has found a few days work with someone else, so that's a help.
Yesterday MIL wanted to know why I was at work instead of staying home taking care of BIL. I told her someone had to work to pay the bills & that I don't have the luxury of having time off.
I have my 1st 'at work' NVQ assassment today, no doubt another load of carp. Hmmm, anyone see a thread of bitterness running through this post, lol.
Big hugs to Smokey, PP, Candy, Jay, Jannie, Annie & Phoebe, & anyone I've forgotten, welcome to the newbies.
I made a banana weetabix slab last night, ok it should have been a loaf, but I cheated & cooked it in the Remoska pan, I also made DD a couple of lasanges as her DH is away & the baby is teething again.
Hope everyone has a good day.
    Hugs Hester

    Guess what........................it's raining ;):D

Work all day today and my mind won't be on it at all. DIL went in to hospital today and is due to have an elected c-section at 9am as long as there aren't any emergencies. So will be on tenterhooks until I hear that all is well and the little bundle has arrived safe and sound. I will keep you all informed once I hear and get home from work. Ooooooh its exciting!!!!!

Apart from that, just going to empty dishwasher before I go off to work.

    Take care everyone - byeeeeeeeeeeeee

Welcome to Debbie and thanks for the macaroon balls recipe -is that all the ingredients they need? Might be easier to handle than the bounty bars - I had to leave the mixture to set in the fridge for a bit until I formed it into balls because the condensed milk was so sticky. Also, using mash would make them much cheaper! I'm sure I've seen a thread on here about 'getting ready for winter' so you're not guilty of forward planning too much and we all want to bring our energy costs down, don't we?

I switched to E.On this year which has, so far, reduced my monthly DDs but, having seen Martin on the TV this week, I have asked them about capping the prices and, also, I see on their site that they are offering free energy monitors to new customers so I've asked them to send me one.

Hester - there's no way you are being a callous b1tch, absolutely no way. You have done so much for your BIL and you have your own busy life. If anyone's callous it's that unbelievable MIL of yours; how dare she expect you to stay at home to look after HER son? If she's that concerned why doesn't she have him living with her? I really hope this horrid situation gets resolved soon - I think you have been amazing and your BIL is very lucky to have you. I am extending a special invitation to my Fantasy Island - it sounds as if you need it.

Aussie - I hope you start feeling better soon.

SnowyOwl - good luck with the assessment today!

Well, I'd better go and get the day going properly!

See you later - try and keep dry, everyone.

Well, the rain is absolutely tipping down and forming a nice big puddle outside my front door so I think I'll be using the back door today! We don't get flooding here fortunately because we are quite high up but I do hope no-one suffers this year - last year was dreadful for many people. Some of them still haven't moved back home.

I have to go out today to do some banking so I'll have to dig my boots and raincoat out - thought I'd put them away for a while!

My throat feels much better today, so thanks for taking it off me Aussie ;) - hope yours gets better soon

Went to weigh in last night, and I had stayed the same which is brilliant considering what I ate and drank last week on holiday :T

Work today, so fish pie for dinner. Got a notification yesterday that Lakeland have despatched my Remoska, so hope that comes for me to play with tomorrow.

Hester, tell your MIL she is a selfish old bat :D

((( hugs ))) to anyone feeling down x

    Hiya again peeps,
DH has just rung me, our baby houndlet with the poorly paw has been coughing in the night and was a bit clingy this morning, DH has just taken the monsters for their morning walk and all the other houndies that walk together have been the same:eek: we suspect kennel cough but the little old houndie is ok ATM, fingers crossed he dosen`t get it.
I`m going to ring the vets as soon as they open and get them both there later today hopefully.
    Catch up later.

Hester - how terrible for your MIL to expect you to stay off w*rk:eek: ask her when she will be taking her turn to look after HER son!

    Catch up later

    Good morning everyone

Chrisca How exciting for you all! You will keep us posted, won't you. I hope everything goes well.
Hester I think your MIL is mistaking you for your BIL's nanny. ;) Of course you need to w**k.
mioliere WARNING! The bounty balls are very moreish (and high in calories!). You will want more. :D
mrs mix You were in a dream I had last night (even though I have never met you or seen a photo of you). You were worried about a list or something. How strange.
((((hugs)))) to everyone who needs one.

Well, I had to do a "tru" this morning. DS and DD are supposed to alternate washing and drying the dishes each night. Both of them claimed to have done their bit last night but I got up this morning to a sink full of dishes. So, I had to wash all of them before I could pack the lunches. That WON'T be happening tonight.

W**k soon and it will be another busy one but I have been a busy little bee this week and got loads of files off my desk so not feeling pressured at all.

Dinner will consist of things in the fridge that need using up so I suspect some weird combinations will be on the plates tonight. :o

Time to go so have a wonderful Wednesday everyone. xx

Hello. Got a job interview in 2 hours. Been feeling quite doubtful recently. Before I go I have to ring up several libraries - they're advertising vacancies but I don't think anyone would want me - I go back to uni probably late September.

    Morning all

It's a glorious sunny morning with tropical temps here........ok maybe not then, rain is lashing down and I'm still snugged under my 15 tog duvet (can't see the summer one coming out this year).

Both DD's still poorly so they're still in the land of nod - it's not like their missing much at school at the moment anyway, DD1's sportsday today which she's not part of - if it was going to rain they'd be doing team games in the gym.....DD2 was supposed to be at a drama/singing/dance workshop at another school - not a wise move with a chest infection.

DH is still waiting for a scan appointment for some "issues" I won't bore you with - they told me that as it was marked urgent that we'd have an appointment within 7 days....it's now 2 weeks on and nothing....phoned them yesterday and "urgent" cases have a 6 week waiting list. DH is back off to the Drs on Friday so will have a moan.

Got some beef left over from Sunday to use up tonight - might make it into a pie and serve with veg and new pots.....either that or mince it into a bolognaise....will see how I feel later.

Need to run a hoover round and do some ironing today but that's about it.

Hope you all have a great day.
