So all things considered, 11 would be a very good deal, but anything under 18,84 would be profitable. I think I will aim for nothing less than 15 in that case. should be interesting to see what happens over the next 30 days......I know someone who has phone and tv for 7.50!!
so there is alot possible.0 -
Relatives on the 3M's for £22 per month
Medium Broadband ( free upgraded to 10mb from 2mb when it was rolled out last year)
Medium Phone (Unlimited weekend UK landline calls)
Medium TV ( 45 digital TV freview channels )
12 month contract is finishing so is it time to haggle?
On the VM's site the same package for NC'ers is £25 pm
( http://allyours.virginmedia.com/websales/product.do?id=15157 )
So would £17.50 per month or less ( in the price region of Plusnet / TalkTalk O2 ect) be in the right zone?
Thanks0 -
I am thinking of getting my BT line re-activated and going to o2 broadband, the only thing stopping me is I am about 2km away from the exchange and worried I will not be getting a decent speed. With Virgin 10MB I always get 10MB so has been fine just a bit too expensive.0

Can you get the LLU service? If so fine but don't touch the Access service with a bargepole.
I'm 1.97km away from the exchange. Depending on when I sync thr router I can get between 5.5Mb and 6.5Mb. This is so much better than my Virgin 10Mb BB which drops to less than 3Mb every evening.0 -
Hi all wonderful money savers!
I currently pay £25 for phone BB L & TV M.
But with phone calls on top it often comes to £50! Even with free evening & weekend.
Problem is i like Virgin tv service. Picky i know, but it has stopped me from just getting a freeview box etc.
Does anybody have any suggestions on how i can get it cheaper?
I'm moving house soon and i'm going to need every penny as the rent is alot higher.0 -

dont they have some talk unlimited plan, you pay a fiver or something extra per months but can make calls 24/7 free to national 01 or 02 numbers. If its mobile phones then I cant help there but one route is when your fixed contract (12months) is near finishing, just tell them that you are leaving, and thats where the haggling begins that they want to keep you as a customer. Quite right, as there is enough competition out there BT, 02, Sky etc to keep them on their toes.0 -
Hi,
Ive had my phone with Virgin for almost 10 years. Never bothered with the broadband or tv until now.
Currently have phone line and unlimited anytime calls, interested in 10meg broadband and xl tv package. Sister in law recently switched from BT and got a really good deal on V+ HD Box and installation - does anyone have any idea what I might be offered as a package if I upgrade?
Thanks,
Liz0 -
We've been with Virgin (and previously NTL) for longer than I care to remember and have never tried to negotiate anything, thus we are now paying £32.25 a month for phone line, TV size M, Broadband size M and a talk off-peak plan (free eve and weekend calls to landlines - I think the same as the L phone package). We still have paper bills and I know this would be a quick way to save a bit every month, but how much more should I be able to save?
Looking at the thread I can see we are paying way over the odds for what we have, but what would make a good price? I can't quite make out what I should be paying for what we have or what we could be getting for what we pay!0 -
I have similar to you without the TV, it's not the best deal I've seen on here but I'm presently paying £19.40 for L BB, L phone (inc line rental) I'm hoping to get a better deal in a few months when my contract ends.0

Since 2007 I have been on
20mb Broad Band
Phone XL, talk international and Talk mobile
I have 2 seperate accounts (1 for phone and othe for broadband) and get e-bill discount on each of them.
I have a loyality pack discount of £19.46
and pay a total of £37.49 a month.
Since the resent reductions in Broad band this is no longer such a good deal.
So phoned them today all they are offerring is the same as new customers.
I can have 50mb and phone for £39 (will have to pay install charge as well).0
