visidigi - your not having much luck with the people your talking to!
It is part of their sales routine not to offer you anything unless you prompt them about it, that is why it is good to do a bit of research first. That is how I got my dad his TiVo and installation for free, just by quoting the offer on their website for new customers.
At least you have got the 30 days notice ball rolling, I am quite certain you will get a call from them and you will get the deal you want. It is all part of the game!0 -
Had he not messed me about and just said yeah we can do it (I made it clear the whole experience was just crap from the outset) I would have agreed to the deal (despite it being higher than I wanted really - no discount just new customer benefits) but no - he decided to pull every chain I had.
Now my wants are more than they were before - just because they decided to waste my time and wind me up0 -
Retentions may still be able to offer V+, V+ is not available to new customers through the website.]

I think they were just offering it to me to get more money from me,
I have lived without it for all the years i've had cable, i dont really need it, i dont really want to pay too much more than 30 quid & told them that, then she offered me the v+ box and adds another £9 quid:( which is what the cost was per month when it 1st came out/

Yep, correct, during my 'discussions' with retentions I was offered a posted self install or a paid install if i wanted a second V+ box.
But then they wanted the full extra fee on top of the VHD I already had and was returning - told them to take a running jump - they then offered it to me for free, and I declined.0 -
Hi Folks, new to this thread, but following it with interest.
Completely dissatisfied and disillusioned with VirginMedia. Sat for 45 mins trying to log a faultlast week.
We are now on our 3rd V+ HD box, other 2 failed in less than 18 months (definitely not due to overuse). Onto our 3rd BB router as well, was left without BB last year for 2 weeks.
Current deal:
V+HD Box
BB L
TV M
Phone M
Paying 37.90 for the pleasure.
Do you think it is worthwhile going on a rant with Virgin media sales team????0 -
I definitely wouldn't rant - but I would call and polite say you're looking for a better deal and you're hoping they can help given all the problems you've had.
Ranting gets you less - this I've learnt (although the guy last night almost made me go loopy at him...)0 -

Email them setting out your issues as you are less likely to rant and they will have time to look at your case before ringing you back to discuss.~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)
