what speed are you on? 2/10/20??
Soz10meg interesting to see Del_boy_Gupta was offered the same Broadband only deal.
I did phone back as was concerned that I might have been on a rolling 12 Month contract with reduced price only for 6 Months of it, was informed wasnt under any contract.0 -
£7.50 per month for Broadband and Phone.. having had a letter from BT inviting us back to them for £7.99 per month for 18 month contract (BB and weekend and evening calls) we called Virgin to get a Mac code and were immediately offered £7.50 for matching package.. very happy as saves us the hassle of changing emails etc. Virgin apparently are not advertising that they are doing this but waiting for people like us to call in to cancel. Worth a try if you can't get TV with them like us country types and just want BB and phone!0

I have 10meg virgin media stand-alone broadband internet. What's the best number to speak to the retentions team? Hopefully I can barter a better deal than £20 a month. My advice has no basis more reliable than my own meandering experience.0

I have been paying £13/month for last 12 months (just L broadband), got bill today for £19.
Rang billing and retentions (i think), my 12 months loyalty discount has ended and they weren't interested in doing any other deals like they used to be. Rubbish!
Anyway to get through to retentions I just called 0845 454111 and used the option that says you want to leave them. Maybe there's a better number?...
edit : just read that retentions only operate on weekdays, may try again in the week!0 -
Any good deals lately please on:
XL TV, XL Phone, M BB, V+ plus extra V Box in another room?
Currently paying around £47 supposedly with a £22 "Loyalty Discount"
What are people paying for LBB and phoneline only please (as excellent Sky deal at the moment, so may move!).
Many thanks

This is what I currently pay Virgin for. Any ideas why i'm paying £25 for a L BB package?
I wish to bin the tv as its crap & I hace sky hd as well.
I only really want the 20mb or 50mb BB but you get stitched up for not having a phone line with them. Any ideas whats the best deal for me to ask for.. either standalone BB or phone & BB

Has anyone got a decent deal on broadband alone? I am paying £18 a month which seems a bit steep0

Just got a great deal with Virgin to stay with them.
Been a customer for 6 years and OH was disappointed with them selling TV channels to sky so wanted to switch everything to sky.
Rang up on Thurs and basically signed up to all 3 services with sky. Then realised that sky broadband would come down the phone line and would only get 1.5mb, when we currently get 9mb (did a speed check online)
Rang virgin today to cancel but asked if they could anything to make us keep all 3 services with them seeing as we've been customers for 6 years and this is what we got:
TV = XL (no change on that)
BB = XL (upgrade from 10mb to 20mb)
Phone = L (no change on that, didn't want 2)
Got rid of the 2nd vbox in the bedroom as hardly use it, kept the V+ box in the lounge and getting a wireless router.
All for £45Mummy to two girls: October 2013 and February 20160 -
Currently paying the follwing according to my bill:
Phoneline rental 11.99
L Broadband 25.00
XL TV with V+ HD box 24.50
Total 61.49 ( without the e-billing discount which is going next month )
I get a discount of 14.00 so monthly bill is 47.49.
On the website for building your own bundle as above:
Phoneline rental 11.99
L Broadband 12.50
XL TV with V+ HD box 23.00
Total 47.49.
How are you getting so call deals and can I get a better deal before I ring up0
