Called Virgin today - definitely the wrong day to call as no deal offered other than £1.50 off my current bill.
Going to try again on Thursday.
With cash back deals, I can get the works with SKY for the equivalent of £67 month.

Mentioned a friend of mine who has the full package with Virgin - XL broadband, phone, TV with line rental movies and sports for £59 a month. I don't want XL broadband or phone, only need L broadband and M phone.
Said they couldn't match the deal and the best they could do was £80.
Offered to give the account number or telephone number of my friend so they could confirm I was quoting correctly and was told they can't look at her account???

Obviously depends on who you speak to as I was told this info was needed last week!

Accepted offer this morning of 12.00 a month for next 6 months, had been on 13.00 a month less e-billing discount for previous 12 months. :)

We've been with VM for years and years. I like the services but the bills are going up and up. Time to go I think.

when i left then early this year they wanted a £20 cancellation fee because i was still in 12 months of contract.
but if you have been with them for ages you should be ok, just write them a letter with your account details giving so many weeks notice or ring them as well as send letter so your covered and should be sorted, got no complaints from them
  • Wow - got hold of the right person today.

Did have XL tv, XL phone, L broadband, 2 x V+ boxes for £53.10

Now have the above, plus movies and sports for the grand total of £65.19 - this includes a new V+ box to replace my old one that's 2 years old.

    Quite happy with that.

Sky could do the same for £77 - not including HD on the multi room.

A friend has the same package for £59 without multiroom, so it's pretty close to her price.

After being told NO a few days ago, the lady I spoke to today couldn't be more helpful
  • I'm currently paying £26 for the following

    M tv package
    10mb broadband
    Phone Line M

Looking to upgrade to the following...

Either M+ with ESPN or TVXL
Sky Sports (Not bothered about HD)
Possibly free calls with the phone line but could live without it
    10mb broadband

I'm hoping to get this package for just over £50 but the best I can get is £60 including the XL package.

I'm tempted just to phone up and cancel tonight to see if they offer a deal to stay.

Just rang up and redone my deal - was paying £78 for XXL bb, XL tv and XL phone, one V+ box and one V box, plus caller display.

Got them down to £67.50 for the above, so not a bad saving for the next 12 months of £138!
  • HI Just upgraded on virgin and i'm getting TV XL +movies Sports PHONE XL BROADBAND L all for 60 for 12 months
  • I have just renegotiated my L broadband only for £12 although the discount has to be renegotiated in 6 months time as they can only put it on now for 6 months so i've been told. My missus told me just as i had done this that she now wants tv specifically the asian collection. For this you need a base tv deal.

Anyone only got L broadband and base TV (M) tell me what the best deal is that they have managed to negotiate? I have been quoted £29 for TV and broadband and £10 for the asian collection which is the standard price i believe. By the way this is with a standard V box only.
