You are taking things too literally - it means includes delivery where relevant
Otherwise there is no point to these search result filters. You CAN get baht delivered with it - order from a BdeC and pay with it - but you would get the BdeC's rates, not Clarity's, and many of them charge for delivery0 -
On the page below MSE recommends the Halifax Clarity card as the best rate for changing: pounds/baht ...delivered!
http://travelmoney.moneysavingexpert.com/holiday-money/thai%20baht/delivery/weeks/100-pounds-worth#results
But I can't see anyway of getting currency delivered using this card ...any ideas?
Anyway:
I thought it was usefull.
After all if you ask a guy where to get a train to someplace and he says "in this country its more convienient and cheaper to get a taxi and they pull up over there but the train station is .. (and also gives you directions). You don't reply by telling him you never asked him about taxi's do you?0 -
Hi all. I'm needing some help. We are going to the US in October and we are taking my mother in law now she has gone a purchased US Dollars and she is also wanting to get a prepaid card. The question is, are there any cards out there that accepts US Dollars to top up? I told her to wait before changing any money, but nope she went ahead and did it. Now all I'm getting is 'I should have listened to you'!!!
Thanks in advance
What a thoughtful mother in law. No doubt she wants to have money of her own to treat you to a good time. If she is now saying 'I should have listened to you'!!! it sounds like a soft answer to a critical remark. Be glad she does listen, Don't put pressure on her. Accept that the older generation will do things the way they know. I don't know her but I bet she says to her mates "I try to do my best but he's always criticising me".0 -

It's more like telling the guy you only want to use the train but then he goes ahead & includes taxi info along with the train info without being clear hes also talking about taxis.
Search filters have a very specific function, if they don't perform that very specific function they become confusing....btw I have a post grade in computer science and work in IT, I'm well aware how these filters should work....hence my confusion.0 -
Hello, not sure if this has been mentioned, but my current favourite trick is to pre-load (so I am in credit) my holiday spending card (santander zero, not around anymore sadly) - this avoids any interest charges at all and gets a great exchange rate...0

So even if your payment is credited a week after the ATM withdrawal, that is only 0.5%.
50p on £100.
Ah, yes, see above - why wait - send the money just before your holiday and get a positive balance, and then hit the ATM at the airport!0 -

I cant afford to leave the £500 in the account the whole month and wonder if I can pay it in and withdraw it on the same day.
What happens if it takes the £500 out before I pay the £500 in? Do you understand what I mean?
How about you just don't withdraw it the same day? Revolutionary, I know.0 -
Wondering if any MSE peeps can give me some advice?
Will be travelling to USA/Canada over Christmas and am wanting to take a prepaid card for the US portion (and a few days of the Canadian trip)
Will be loading with approx £5000 but will not be using for hotel just spending and cash withdrawls. I have looked at a big range of cards and wondering if anyone had been in a similar position as most multi currecy cardds are EU/US friendly but I cant find any info about CAD dollars? I do have access to my Canadian Bank account with TD when i am there but as we land in Canada late xmas eve I wont be able to go into the bank to request a replacement debit card for my canadian account until earliest the 29th of Dec so will have a few days where we will need to use this card as our funds. Once I have a new card for my CAD account then I will transfer all the remaining balance from my prepay back to my UK account then do an international transfer to my CAD account.
Backstory I lost my CAD bank card earlier in the year and the only way to request a replacement is to go in branch with passport.0 -
Oh and sorry reason to load then transfer back is that we dont really know what our US spend will be until we are out there so want to lock in a good exchange rate on the USD before we go.
Thanks in advance for any help offered!!0 -

I seriously wouldn't bother with locking in rates and all that malarky.
Most of the time your are locking in a poor rate anyway.
The best today will lock you in at US$0.03 under the going rate. Of course you aren't going to load that on to a Prepaid card. That would be completely dopey. But theoretically, you would have thrown away US$150 and then however much more when you try to re-convert it to £ before sending it off to Canada(converting it again).
You idea is just completely mad.
Just leave your money in the UK. Apply for a http://www.nandp.co.uk/current-account/gold-classic-current-account/ either by dumping your £5k in it or by cycling £500 in and out of the account.
You can open with the £5k, then transfer most of it out and then set up a standing order to pay as much as you want in every month(as long as it is at least £500).
That will give you your forex fee free debit card
Get a Halifax Clarity. There is your forex fee free credit card.
Get a Kalixa Pay(purchase using a promo code to avoid paying the initial purchase fee) as an emergency back up Prepaid card and put a couple of hundred pounds on it. There is your forex fee free Prepaid card.
You can use them in every destination. You'll get the best exchange rate possible. Currently US$1.64 and C$1.805.0
