Think i will try again! everyone else seems to be getting good deals!0

yeah, I think I have noticed a pattern here now.......
For 2MB broadband with NTL, it seems £12.50 per month for 6 months is the best NTL can do for existing members on 2mb broadband service. *
You should aim to push it towards that, I think.
*assuming that you have only broadband with NTL. I dont know about if you have telephone, digitial TV and broadband, what they may offer0 -
voodoozoe wrote:Do these tactics work for business users too? We pay LOADS and its for our shop BB and phone, no telly or anything. Our bills are £50 a month not including calls. We don't download much but our shop website it up with ntl too. ANY advice would be most appreciated!!!!!
As a business user, I think you should be offered a decent package. "Business users" tend to be their core of their business operations so I cant see why they couldnt put together a much better offer. Try giving them a call and please let us know........:)0 -
Hi got a letter off NTL this morning informing me of a £2 rise in my bill per month. I have the family pack plus Sky Sports 1, 2, 3 & Extra plus phone and broadband (£17.99) my total bill is normally £60+ a month. Today I phoned up to cancel everything, especially as I hear brand new customers are getting special deals while we loyal users don't. But now i do. I've got upgraded broadband and a reduction of of £14 a month for a year. Result. I guess I'll be re-negotiating next year . £168 a year savingYou can always get more with a kind word and a 2-by-4 than with just a kind word.0

Hi Speculator, what number did you ring and which department did you go to, o and what did you say to get that?
Cheers0 -
When I phoned I called 0800 052 2000 (customer services) It should be on the back of your bill. I asked to be put through to cancellations and after a bit of explaining how unhappy I was with the price increase I was put through to customer retentions where Igot my deal. You can always get more with a kind word and a 2-by-4 than with just a kind word.0

I just called up NTL and said i was thinking of cancelling my package (2mb broadband 24.99, family pack 19.99, phone line rental 9.99) all he could offer me was 6 month discount on family pack to 10.50, i said that i can get broadband much cheaper elsewhere at tiscali etc but he said he can only give one discount per account. Does anyone know if this true??????0
