Thanks, I'm all enrolled now for my first course in Feb :) Can't wait, would have done two but I haven't got the money to borrow until the funding is sorted

Can't you open an OUSBA instalment account which would then be paid off when the funding comes through iyswim - you'd probably only have to make one payment, two at the most as they're normally pretty quick with the funding (well, they have been with me) you could start both then :)

I've hopefully done an OUSBA, the website is a bit odd but I've applied for the course and not given any card details so I think it's worked!

    Hi all, :hello:

I haven't read though all the posts yet, but thought I would say that I have just registered for DD121 starting in May after I've completed T172.

I have read the course reviews and they are all very good. How are you finding the course? What are the TMAs like?

    Bye for now! :D
  • Hi elj:hello:

I can't answer your question about the course as I got thoroughly bored, cancelled it and will be doing M150 in February instead.

Just wanted to wish you good luck! Pop back often (rich coming from me I know!), they're a friendly bunch here :)

  • Homespun... were you doing DD100?

It's probably not that easy to explain, but why was it boring? I'm doing Understanding Society Openings at the moment which leads onto DD100 and I'm not particularly riveted by the stuff I'm reading. Bit concerend that DD100 won't be for me but no idea what else I would want to do!

    Hi babble! :hello:

Yes, it was DD100. It is kind of difficult to explain, but when I picked up the books my brain went numb and I had no motivation whatsoever! With the MU120 course I'm doing, I'm enjoying it so much I'm quite a way ahead of things as I can't stop picking up the books :rotfl:. It's not a case of getting poor marks either, I'd lost motivation long before the first assignment. I really thought that this would be the course I would love and I'd struggle with the maths as I was just doing that to 'brush up' on skills iyswim. I found the reading deathly boring - and this is someone so nerdy I can read broadsheets and psychology texts front to back and still be interested! My mind was wandering after a couple of paragraphs :o.

It just really held no interest for me at all - maybe it was too broad in it's approach, concentrating on nothing . Sorry I can't be more exact, I just know it was a huge relief when I decided to cancel the course and change to a techie one - I felt much much better!

    :hello: sneezy

No, no heads in books here - have a couple of weeks off :D

Christmas was manic and all stressy, but thankfully he's back to work tomorrow and it will be just me and the little 'uns :rotfl: (not actually sure that is tongue in cheek, but hey ho!)

We had a lovely time and the childrens' faces were a picture which made it all worth it. Can't believe it's only a week til they're back at school.

    How did your Christmas go?

    :hello: HS

Glad you had a good Christmas :) - i love buying pressies for people and watching their faces as they see what they have got...Hopefully the next week won't go too fast (unless you want it too :))

    It was quiet thanks!
Although we had a second Christmas, with the "Elves" delivering pressies today, so that was a little bit livelier :):) my three year old cousin and parents were over from Ireland for a few days which was lovely, she's very into Princesses so i dug out a Disney Soundtrack CD that i bought three or so years ago and took that with me to my Grans and she was listening and singing to that all afternoon!

The last four days have gone so quick, hopefully (for us) the next few will slowly go....although i think we will all be driving each other nuts by next saturday (spending too much time together!)

Back to my books tomorrow though!
