Have you checked in 'First Class' for a study room for your course? Maybe people in there can help get your confidence back or contact the tutor etc. I was advised that our 1st TMA could be deferred for up to 3 weeks so I wouldn't stress too much about - speak to anyone and everyone in theOU, because someone maybe able to help you!! And keep trying your tutor - maybe he is ill or something?

I want to transfer some units if possible from my brick uni, <snip> can I start and have them added later?!
Yes. Ring & talk to someone on the helpline if you want more detailed info on how it works, but there's no reason why it should delay you starting studying. (unless you'd want to not study with the OU if you didn't get as many points for your transfer as you're expecting or something like that)

Thanks SWMBO. I want to study either way for interest sake to test the waters before jumping into another more full-time study that's the wrong choice. Shall ring them tomorrow.
Do I pay for the course upfront then get the refund for the fees later?

    Xmas Saver!
Hows all the studying going, I had to take a break this yr, but my first yr of study, I did B120,Intro to business, W100 Intro to Law, and tied up with DB123 You and ur Money, and I passed all 3, thou when I had all 3 going at the same time it was fun trying to juggle them all.

Anyone stuck with the tma's for any course, you tutor can give 7 days extension, without to much hassle, thou they may not volunter this info freely, in extreme circumstances you can have upto 3 weeks. But that is a rearuity and does need mega excuses.

For anyone doing DB123, I found it easier to do than any of the other courses, as you are just concentrating on money and money related matters, and day to day factors, I got my best ever score 90% with that one.

Good luck to one and all. xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

I'm now not too sure if I want to do DD100 in February but have no idea what else I would want to study! Argh!!!

CMAs are Computer Marked Assignments which are submitted online, TMAs (Tutor Marked Assignments) can be either electronically sent or done on paper and exams are in a quiet scary room at a designated regional centre in complete silence and make you feel 15 again :rotfl:

I've done 2 CMAs and 1 TMA on my MU120 now and have scored 100/94/100 for them so doing really well and very proud of myself :) Next one not due until Jan 29th and then I start M150 early February.
