Very possibly,or perhaps at interview one says things which one does not necessarily mean to get the job,but when push comes to shove, one does not wish to be flexible. Those who are flexible will find employers try to help, those who aren't will wonder why others seem to get their needs met and they don't. What goes around, comes around.0

I fully agree that staff need to be flexible and it's a huge headache for a manager if you get a member of staff who isn't.
But the OP does not appear to be inflexible, she has even attended some training days outside of term time as a special arrangement in the past. But her employer is now taking the mickey IMHO by not seeming to take any account of the term-time only workers and just putting up a notice about a training day. No special arrangements any more for the term-time only workers?
If it were me I too would have assumed it wasn't a relevant training day for me if I had already attended customer service training before and the day mentioned was not within my working days.
Perhaps the OP would have been better to have pointed out the very first time that it wasn't possible for her to attend as it was outside of term-time. Then the whole issue could have been addressed properly rather than her employer now making an assumption based on previous training dates, that she has somehow become employed on a 'term time plus' basis.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
