  • Well after he broke the news to me on my birthday:rolleyes: he said he was going to try, well he was very trying!! but he didn't try at all.
So after a bit of a row about his lack of effort & after making him sleep on the sofa, I told him to ring his sister & see if he could stay there, she asked him to go around & talk which he did, he came back had been drinking was wagging his finger in my face saying he'd been a slave to me all his life, so I asked him to leave, he started packing, at which point he asked me how many pairs of pants he should take!! unbelievable, so that's how I got him to go.
I don't feel as far ahead as you two, as you are putting things in motion, & Bettiboop is already single;) & I'm afraid I'm still a very much devoted wife ( doormat:o )

I don't think you are a doormat kizzy. You managed to get him to sleep on the sofa and eventually get him out of the house!! Good on you!!
These are going to be hard times for us all - but we are all here to support each other!! I think I'm going to have to stop drinking though - reading back on what I did last night, made me cringe!! hehe

  • I too have had probs with hubby after about 10 yrs of marriage part was down to me being depressed but not realising it (post natal depression) We were on the verge of break up and already had a holiday booked with the kids we went on the holiday and because we were able to get away from all the strains of general life we saw what we loved about eachother and now we have been married for 17 years this year and I do not regret a day you have to go through the bad to recognise the good don't just give up if you have feelings for eachother help him through his depression but most of all remember why you got together and help him realise that the problems are joint and not just his.

  • I admit to reading only the first page of comments having had a bit to drink thought i had read it all lol but I feel that I have also been in a similar situation where other half did not admit that there was anything going on though (still to this day have suspicions) but some people love to try and break up a relationship and with me she didn't succeed and it felt so good once we had sorted things out to see her out shopping when I had my OH beside my arm in arm best revenge ever. But big hugs to you it still can be sorted if you want it to be

I was willing to make a try of it. Thats why we made the decision to go to Relate, but the only way we can ever try o get things sorted is if there are two of us in the marriage. At the moment, there are 3. Me, him and HER!! He obviously won't/can't get rid of her, proving that by lying about texting her etc etc so as far as I can see at the moment - there is only one way out - divorce.
I deserve better and I am not going to be his mug whilst he's out having a whale of a time with her, telling her all abot whats goig on here at home. He can obviously talk to her more than he can talkto me - so bye!!

We are going to Relate again tonight so this subject will be broached again tonight. Lets see what he has got to say for himself. If he agrees to leave her alone and actually does, then I am willing to try with the marriage. Its not what I really want to 'throw' away 10 years of my life when at least 8 of them have been excellent. So as I've told him before the decision is up to him.

I wouldn't bother going to relate again whats the point he doesn't know what he wants really he's just doing this to keep you quiet while he goes and plays around with that tart!

I would certainly kick him out of the house tell him to go and get in her bed! But I doubt that her fella would like that much especially when he finds out.

You deserve better hun and you know it! So why waste your precious time with your kids with this loser! I wouldnt p!ss on him if he was on fire!

    Steph xx
