I think I've just discovered the perfect hangover cure.
Poached salmon with avocado on a thick slice of home made bread (still slightly warm) liberally buttered and with a dollop of Hellman's mayonnaise on the side. I'm am feeling much, much better!
I haven't had a hangover for years now as I don't drink, but I can honestly say that when I did have a hangover that would have come straight back up (if I could have got it down to start with :rotfl:). I always had to spend an entire day in bed recovering as I felt like death for at least 24 hours!0 -

Fingers crossed for you and positive Karma vibes. There are still honest people about. DD bless her handed a bag into the police station she had found with a very expensive Panasonic Camcorder in it. She got to keep it as noone claimed it.
Dinner's all done - the hotpot in the Remoska was lovely - so tender even for shortening the cooking time from the standard recipe. Havent cleared away - will leave it in the hope that OH will think to do it when he's had his after he gets in from work :rotfl: yeah right. Typically of course he got a late job to a resus and now has to wait for plod who are on there changeover so cant get there right away even tho' its a sudden death  . Looks like I am going to Atomic Kitten tonight. Dont have a clue what they sing and really cant be bothered.
OMG DD has just come in laden with food and drinks she thinks she's taking. Still at least she's got her coat tonight. Last night she only had a silly little rain mac which got wet through and then she complained she was cold all night. I ended up taking my T shirt off so she could have something dry and warm while I wore my ski jacket with nothing underneath.
Tomorrow will be flying day as not planning to go out apart from food, so hopefully will be able to clean this pit a bit.
See you all tomorrow
KazMortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -
Will post again in a bit to answer a few posts above, but I just feel so guilty at the moment.
Earlier DD who's only 5, shouted up the stairs that she'd brought all my washing in (3 loads of it and she had to stand on a garden chair too reach) cos it was raining.
I was unenthusiastically thankful too her, thinking it's only a passing shower and I've now got to hang the bloody stuff back out. But the weather has been crap on and off since she brought it in so really she made a good call and saved me some work.:o:o:o:o:o. It's been sitting on the kitchen table all afternoon and I've just gone to move it to hang it upstairs too dry and it just struck me that a) how many 5 year olds would think of doing that and b) what a sweet thoughtful little girl she is really.
So yes I'm feeling very very guilty, but on the plus side it appears that I really do have a mini flylady in the house:D
(Note to self) Must train her to put the pegs in the peg bucket, rather than pinging them halfway down the garden.0 -

I agree with you about the lesson. DS2 usually relies on DS1 to remember everything for him. DS1 follows his Dad..memory like and elephant. DS2 is like me..would forgot his nose if it wasn't attached!
If you do happen to overindulge tonight, we can exhange hangover cures in the morning;)Twins, twice the laughs, twice the fun, twice the mess!:j:j0 -
Haven't got as far as I would have liked today but can't be bothered to do anything else now.
DS3 being absolutely vile. OH shouting at DS2 for getting cross as DS3 but he doesn't have to put up with him all week like we do (DH usually home when DS3 is in bed) so I've shouted back as DS2 puts up with a lot from him. DS3 now crying - excellent nice quiet Saturday night then!

Yes, we checked the website earlier. Means he will be able to watch MotoGP on television all day now.

TAG - You are very lucky, that is a very thoughtful girl you have there. Just tell her how much you appreciate her.0

PP I do hope it turns up, leave telling Dad until after you have checked there. My sons are terrible for loosing things, we're always finding things they've left behind when leaving somewhere.
Dusty, we have that sometimes with my boys, Dad doesn't see what I do so butts in to be honest where it's not wanted/needed and drives me insane sometimes. Hope everythings settled in your house now.
Kaz, atomic kitten aren't too bad actually, hope you don't hate it too much x
TAG, sounds like you've got a lovely thoughtful little girl.
Went to put the boys to bed and dozed off myself, ooops, woke up feeling even more tired, bother. However I do need to do some of the assignment so a coffee then crack on with it I think. Even if I am in a strop with him I am still worried about DP tonight as it's the Miner's Gala day, which has turned from a historic event into an excuse over the years for people to get very drunk, violent and abusive. Such a shame, I remember going as a child and really enjoying it but I don't think I would take my boys after my friends son got a broken arm when a drunk fell in his pram.
I've still not had anything to eat, thinking some pasta with some chicken thrown in (got some quick pasta in sauce and cooked chicken) which can be cooking while the PC I need starts (takes a while)One day I might be more organised...........
