Happy Birthday Soappie.:bdaycake:
Me and hubby went to the pub last night and boy do i feel it today, had a lovely day yesterday and got sunburnt on my face so it's pure red today.
We're all heading away tomorrow again so it will be an early start, lots of driving and a picnic to do up tonight.
Plan today is kitchen and livingroom, it's such a mess.Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -
Morning All
Happy birthday Soappie:beer:
Kaz - Booster seats sorted. Got email back from easyjet (very impressed only took a day:T ) saying we have book them in with hold baggage and they do not form part of our luggage allowance so no charge:D . Not sure how I am going to get on with 2 suitcases, 2 booster seats wrapped up, 2 cabin bags (full of sticking, reading & colouring stuff) and a 4 and 5 year old. We need to get a taxi, then a train to stansted, up the escalator and then to check in - not looking forward to that bit:rolleyes: .
Tag - Bless your little flylady. I know DD1 is trying to be really good at the moment and I don't always show I appreciate it.
Rach - hope the bruises are not too painful, sounds like you got away lightly with no broken bones - that will be down to the alcohol:beer: .
Having a bit of a wobbly day today. Last day at work at the Estate Agents ever but 'cos its so quiet I am getting time to brood which is not good. Spoke to Mum this morning and I just wish I was over there for her now. It all seems unreal at the moment.
House nice and tidy. Kids due back at lunchtime. Plan for when I get home:-
Put wash on & TD
Wash DH suit trousers
Roast chicken
Made chicken curries for freezer *
Made sausage rolls for freezer *
Make pizza's for freezer *
HHI
Start packing girls stuff
* For DH's benefit whilst I am over in Spain with Mum and the girls for a month.
Does anyone buy end of year presents for teachers? I was thinking of making some caramel shortbread and popping it into tins, what do you think???0 -
Glad you got the seats sorted shell. As for managing all that lot I'd go to Anne Summers and buy the fluffy handcuffs and cuff the kids to the cases, my daughter wandered in there one day and thought they were brilliant  :rotfl: . Seriously I'm sure someone will help.
As for end of year presents I'm sure they would appreciate homemade stuff rather than the usual tat. DD took in homemade jam at Christmas and it was a HUGE hit. I mean how many favourite teacher mugs/pictures/fridge magents etc can 1 person put up with.
Rach - hope you ok this mornin. I know what it feels like, I did that one Christmas Eve (before I went out) when I had leather soled boots on that were like glass on the stairs. I had a graze/carpet burn the whole length of my spine as was so sore I spent most of xmas day in bed.
DD in a pig of a mood today as I've asked her to clean up - typical pay back from her
See ya later beds to change now.Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -
After very successfully managing to chuck DD's Maccy D coke, which has been sitting on the coffee table since Friday:o, all over the carpet. I decided to quickly whizz over the living room with the carpet cleaner. Can't believe what came up:eek:, including yesterday's blue felt tip marks:D. I only did it 3 months ago.
Still done now and the living room smells fab:D0 -
Morning all
Happy Birthday Soappie
Not a bad day today, some sunshine, one load of washing out on the line. A few bits left over but not enough for another load so I hope it will be dry tomorrow too.
Can't remember if I posted that I got the lawns cut yesterday, but I did and finished about 2 minutes before another heavy shower!
Dusted living room and computer desk and vacuumed right through downstairs. No real cooking today because I made that stew yesterday
Hope everyone's OK.0 -
Good Morning!
Soappie - Happy Birthday!!
OH let me sleep in til 10:30 this morning! Bless him. Hadn't planned to anything except 1 load in the WM and a quick tidy round, which I've managed to get out the way already.

Happy Birthday to our very own leading lady, have a wonderful day.
All calmer in the dusty household. DS3 was not allowed to sleep out in the tent as punishment so I am hoping it has the desired affect, he is being a bit better today. He wants to go swimming later so that will be his reward for behaving.
I've pulped my currants and they are currently straining. Washing on the line - hook broke again so wrapped around the fence post for now.
Lovely and sunny here so I am out into the garden for a bit if I can get DH to get the boys from cricket - actually I will have to go he is waiting for a friend to come and look at out down pipe problem - we think the soak away is blocked - that could be a big messy problem.
Gardening after lunch then. Tea is sausage casserole and we shall be digging up pots from the garden to go with. I think I'll change my name to Felicity, now where is Richard. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
DD is supposed to be tidying her bedroom. Why does she have to empty a bag of clothes that I'd sorted out to get rid of into her toybox and drawers - along with dirty washing which was obviously too much trouble for her to take next door to the bathroom?NST #10 Steps 7K 2/30 10K 2/12 5 a day 3/30 NSD 0/20

2nd load of washing on the line - I'm thinking that I'll start dinner now while DH is out (he's gone to the tip and B&Q) so I can put the oats in the mince without him seeing!NST #10 Steps 7K 2/30 10K 2/12 5 a day 3/30 NSD 0/20

Happy Birthday Soappie:beer:I'm in a much better mood today. Feel like I actually slept properly and managed a lay in till ten past eight. Can't remember the last time that happened.
It looks like it's going to be a nice day, think that has something to do with my improved mood.......Crafty - Well done on the flying yesterday. You lasted longer than me:D
Today -
changed bed
turned and hoovered mattress
washed bedding and hung out
WM on againRight off to do a bit of flying now. Just a little bit. See you all later.
Think I am just getting all excited about my new bookcases (which should arrive tomorrow) At which point you will all get fed up with me moaning about putting them together:rotfl:0
