    Aww thanks for that Crafty.

I've been really miserable over the last couple of days. Bit of sun shine and I'm a completely different person.

DH is on a doffer hunt, which could take some time:rolleyes: as it's not hanging off the end of his nose.

I'm off to start a bit of flying upstairs whilst catching up on Neighbours. Missed Wed, Thurs and Friday this week.

I wouldn't feel guilty about it. There's things I'm more than happy to save money on and things I'm not and if this is yours then so be it. As I understand it, the ethos of the board is to cut money where you can (and are happy to) in order to have money for the things you want. Or you can do a bit and pay her to do the stuff you hate (men's shirts!). Me, I'd iron and pay the cleaner so if you live in Essex ...

Soappie.. happy birthday hun.. you are a LOT younger than my mum.. Lil_me is just mean! lol..

Well.. I arrived home in one piece and on my own last night.. the former was quite simple the latter caused me a bit of strife but I did it... I was talking to a french guy about architecture and interior design and he wanted me to go to his to talk.. oh yeah I'm THAT naive aren't I?? .. I said it is not appropriate he said what is this/ I said not correct and he asked why I asked what he would think if he had a wife who went to another mans house at 3am.. he conceded and went home.. I would have just walked away but I didn't want to risk him following.. and he was being nice and polite and I would have felt wrong being rude.. I was very good last night.. :D (for a change!!) I also have free beer in a pub too after chatting to the landlord and barman for a couple of hours lol.. they were both gay so all was fine.

    Anyway.. enough of my frivolities..

Triker.. you fancy a drink? I have free ones lined up?! lol

I have a bathroom to find today. it is gross up there considering I only did it the other day.. and I have loads and loads of washing to get through.. first 2 loads are in now.. and I need to slip a loaf in.. not in the WM before some smart a$$ chips in!

Soappie sorry didn't intend to be mean :o hope you have a lovely day
Shell, I'll be honest there is only a card from my boys, they have 3 staff each who've worked with them this year inc the LSAs who support them, then other staff who've really helped them, I just can't afford 6 presents. As for the girls, go through with them what you need to do and that they will have to help with their own things. My sons have their own bags/suitcases and they know they are responsible for them, maybe you could use their own little back packs as the cabin bags, kids do tend to enjoy responsibility, keeps them focused. Get one of those elastic straps with the hooks on to fasten the booster seats to the suitcases to make it easier (I got some from the £1 shop) Have you thought of pricing up a taxi to take you all the way to the airport? When we went to Manchester airport (from Durham) it was cheaper than the train.
Lisa I don't iron duvet sets so no way I'd pay someone else to. £8 for 15 items does seem a little high but if she drops off, collects and does a good job I think I would consider it. I hate ironing with a passion! I do know someone who 'trades' housework for ironing with her sister, her sister is one of these crazy people who likes ironing!
Rach ((big hugs)) that sounds scary, I have a massive fear of falling.
TAG thanks for that FoodFocus link, going to have a look when I have time, registered to make sure I remember.

RANT ALERT!!! DP has now informed me his boss is away for the last 2 weeks of the hols, so that's the first 2 weeks out because he's got stuff planned, now the last 2 weeks might be out as he usually has to cover his bookings, so that leaves oh 2 weeks we can go away for, was there any point in buying the caravan?!!!!!

It's cloudy here but warm so far, have braved putting a washload out anyway. DPs gone out as usual so it's me, the boys, a messy house, a pile of laundry and lots of studying......somehow that doesn't 'go together'. I don't really know where to start but the studying must come first as I've remembered I have a very important meeting all day tomorrow, which I'd forgot to put on the schedule, wiping out 4 hours study time I had planned!

I think I'll go make the boys and me some lunch, empty/refill the DW while I am in the kitchen and then decide from there. Must be something I can set the boys away doing/playing that will give me an hours peace to study.
One day I might be more organised...........

    So far I have
Received an apology AND an offer of help from DD  :D
Between us emptied the dishwasher and reloaded it
Sorted a weeks washing - there are 10 loads and I only changed 2 out of 5 beds
Had coffee - sorry would have offered one to evryone else but French student was on facebook!
Soaked the liquidiser that DD used yesterday to make blackcurrant smoothie and left out
Pushed DD and FS out to walk the dog.
Phoned OH twice by accident as my phone was in back pocket of my jeans - hint they must be too tight :rotfl:

Talking of paying to do the ironing or getting a cleaner perhaps I should talk to OH about a cleaner after his famous speech about me taking it easier especially as loan finished which means we have an additional £500 to throw about (ok pay off the debts but we wouldnt miss a little bit for a cleaner would we :rotfl: )

off again kitchen to clean, pig to prepare for dinner .....................
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!

Lil-me - can't DP drop the caravan off somewhere for you if you don't want to tow it yourself? Then you can still get away with the boys even though you'll be on your own but I don't suppose that'll be strange for you!

I've got some things being collected through freecycle this afternoon. Only thing is, one of them is a desk and stool out of DD's bedroom and it was buried under a load of stuff which had just got thrown in her walk-in wardrobe when she had to clear her bedroom floor so the window people could get to the windows last weekend! So my afternoon will be spent sorting her bedroom out. DS is going to a party so DD is going along too as it's in a playcentre so I can get rid of things without her knowing!;)
