shell, does make you wonder if sometimes money is all that is on peoples minds, personally I'd just try to forget about it, it's obvious she wasn't thinking of anyone elses feelings when deciding what to do.
JustaMum you could make an appointment with your DSs teacher to discuss his report, I think given the difference in the report to the assessment I would be doing so if it was my son.
soappie sounds like it's worked out well for you, however I do find Tesco and ebay cheaper for cartridges etc. I do enjoy having the boys at home really, I prefer it as I hate morning/evening rushes, I love having them at home, it just restricts what I can/can't do, I had planned on painting doors next week which will have to go on hold.
g&b don't forget to use quidco and codes when buying from littlewoods!
I'm yawning well, again, I chased DS1 back to bed at 3am when he got up, again at 4.30am but he didn't go back to sleep, his sleeping is getting worse. Walked DS2 to school and got soaked (weather is absolutely awful here, again!) decided as I was wet anyway when I got back I'd put the weed & moss killer on the front lawn, it'll save me watering it in as the rain will do that and I won't be able to mow it for a while anyway with the amount of rain at the mo.
I've just filled and started the WM with the swimming stuff because I don't want it to go smelly but I am leaving the 'normal' washing for now, see if the weather improves, if not I'll do it in batches so I can dry it on the airers.
Today studying must take priority, DSs rooms are reasonably tidy, DS1s needs a few things picking up, they could do with a dust and a vacuum through aswell as the sheets doing (DS2 appears to have removed his duvet cover himself, don't know where he's put it) I also need to go and get pet foods at some point today. Me and DP also need a chat, we spoke about some things last night in particular career, studying etc etc, I told him it was too late (11.45pm when he phoned going on about it) and that I would speak to him today. I wish he'd just decide properly what he wants to do and stick to it! Right emails to check, banking to check, DP to drag out of bed then make a start on everything, hope you all have a good day xOne day I might be more organised...........

We got our DS's school report yesterday with the grades for his assessments. The grades say he is performing below average, but the report says he's doing well. It sounds like they are for two completely different children
. He was disappointed when we read it because I think he felt he'd done quite well this year. He says he finds the numeracy very easy, yet his assessment shows he's below average I]scratches head in puzzlement[/I. The teacher did say he's very polite and has been a pleasure to teach.
Test grades do not usually show the child BEST ability especially if they are a bit nervous or work slowly and run out of time.
The teacher will compare where he was at the beginning of the year. good progress may mean they are more confident, less shy, mixing better as well as learning what they are expected to learn, learning to a level about their target. If he says he finds the numeracy easy I would have a word there and ask if he could be given something a little more challenging.
Any child who behaves well and does their work without messing, complaining or being unruly is a pleasure to teach.. who would want ape children in the class?!
You and he should be very proud.. he is obviously very happy in this class and well adjusted and enjoying his time there!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Morning all
It's a windy one here so wash on the line but I'm keeping an eye as the sky keeps going dark.
Plan is to wizz up and do DS3 room (his turn on the dusty kids rotation). Just DS1's bed left to change and I'll do that tomorrow as he is away the night with OH/DS2 at some airshow thing.
Afternoon to be spent in OH office sorting/filing/cleaning.
Feeling much better with the flying this week - one day in the house flying followed by one day out doing stuff.
Shell - when was the cake receipe? I did one about a month ago for Mum's birthday but not sure I posted it - see if it was Mudbath and if not I'll dig it out. Good luck at the passport office and well done you on driving to the city. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
