Oranabana you can cancel it is a rise. Lot of people have. But likewise a lot of ppl have had 080 call bundle addded until the end of your contract to stop you disconnecting early.

So call them again and if they say can't ask them how a rise from 0p to 10p is not an increase.

Thanks - however at this point I am not expecting to be charged for the freephone numbers, as I have not had anything in writing (as mentioned) from Orange with regards to changes... !

Anyone else not had anything from Orange (been with them for two years, current contract finishes mid Jan 06)!?

I've had no notification in either Oct or Nov bills (1st month billing date), I'm on Select 500. I'm going to try Orange retentions for an upgrade deal in next few days, might try saying 'my brother was told that his freephone calls wouldn't be free anymore, can you confirm this won't apply to my renewed contract?'.

  • Well I just rang Orange to follow up on previous moans about charging for 0800's , and was read the prepaired statement as usual.
Then I qoued this SITE as evidence that there was a 0800 bundle that could be added..........CS operator said no there's no such thing....I insisted it was from a REPUTABLE internet site and would be very annoyed if I discovered that ORANGE were lying to me and that here at Money saving expert they were right.

So the CS speaks to supervisor.........gues what....I get the 0800 bundle applied by a "Speacialist "team within Orange.

Now you might ask whats all the fuss about ?......well the answer is I cancelled my BT contract 5 months ago and rely soley on a mobile within my Household..............not an extremme step in this day and age really....and hence have no access at all to freephone numbers whatsoever, unlike some who could just use their landline instead.
  • Was told yesterday by a supervisor that they were fully aware of the freephone bundle but would not apply it to my account because im on a 'Your Plan' tariff!

Has anyone else managed to get the bundle with a 'Your Plan' tariff?
