Hello All,
Been missing in action for the last week or so, I am on a course and having to use my brain rather a lot and it is a shock to the system! One more week of this course which culminates in a theory test on Wed and a practical on Fri, so fingers crossed please!
Well done PenPen and Miss PenPen on your race for life results, I would love to do something like that but am not allowed to run anymore, sprained my ankle 15 yrs ago and now have Osteoarthritis.
Hugs to Kyle and Twink, and hope your boys get better soon Kyle.
Hugs to all those in need, there are plenty to go round so help yourself.
Having read the Remoska threads I took the plunge and it arrived in the week, wasn't going to use it until I move into my new house but couldn't resist today, so I did flapjacks this morning, and did roast potatoes and lamb for dinner, all was yum! Def worth the money as I think it will be used a lot, got the Remoska recipe book too and when I move and have full cupboards and freezers again I shall try out some of them.
Well best go and pursuade DS to leave the computer alone!
Take care one and all, have a lovely week.

Well done PennyPengiun and PennyPenguinChick - all that splashing about in the wet, you are two crazy ladies!!!
Is it my imagination, or is it BargainRzl's birthday today?????? I'm sure she said something about it clashing with the Wimbledon final! Happy birthday BargainRzl!
Anniestar, glad you and OH are bearing up and that you got lots of support from OS.
It's been wet and horrible all day here, so I have been parked on the sofa watching the telly. I've turned it off now, so that enhances the chances of getting something useful done today after all.
My sole achievement so far today has been to get a worm tablet down one of my kitties. Trust me, that is an achievement. The little madam Mitzi, recipient of the said worm tablet put on an Oscar winning performance about how horrible worm tablets are. I've still got the two boys to do - I may be some time, wish me luck.

Snowy - my (semi-wild) namesake (poppy-oscar - sadly no more!) was a nightmare to give tablets to - unless they were concealed in a piece of raw lambs liver. she would sell her soul for lamb's liver!

Hi all - I'm back! Hope everyone is well and having a good weekend. I haven't read the thread yet but will once I've got myself organised.
Despite the most horrendous weather - wet and windy for the entire weekend, we had a lovely time and even managed to climb Haytor this morning on our way home. The cottage was lovely, in a beautiful country setting, but not much walking was done, unfortunately. We did make good use of the pool and the Jacuzzi, though! It was quite a long drive there and back but I sat in the back with my future DIL's mum (and they took a photo of us both dozing!). I met some more of DIL's friends and they are a lovely group of girls. One of them had made us all huge bright pink badges with a photo of the bride on them to wear out and the bride's Mum had made her a lovely little veil so there was no doubt that we were a 'hen' party! We had some nice meals out and ended up in a very busy and very noisy litte nightclub last night; the drinks were so cheap, too, we kept thinking we had been undercharged! I haven't been to a club for ages but had a great time dancing and singing along with the youngsters!
Anyway, reports from home told us that the weather was lovely here but, now that we are back, the rotten weather we had in Devon has followed us back to Hampshire!
Well, I had better go and unpack and think about something to eat, followed by a long hot bath, I think!
I'll call back later and try and catch up with the news.
