    Morning all!

Woke up to torrential rain, seems to have dried up a bit now and sun is breaking through. Still don't think we'll be having the barbie we hoped for this weekend!

Planning a trip into shopping mall to get some bits and bobs that kids need, and also so I can look in M&S and gain some inspiration from their ready meals! Unlikely that I'll be tempted to buy theirs as they aren't big enough to feed all of us! Did try the £10 meal deal yesterday, oh said wine was lovely, but moussaka just tasted of mint and not a lot else! Still have choc puds to eat though!

Need to stick bm and wm on and get uniforms sorted out and do some baking for next week, else lunch boxes will be a little empty. Fancy trying something creative as well, so might have a browse through the kids make and do books and spend the afternoon playing with them and making a mess!

Still feel slightly washed out from the mini op, no pain, just tired, think it must by the anaesthetic that did it. Staying awake to watch Kung Fu Panda was a struggle - good film, but not as much fun as Shrek, I thought it would be funnier that it was, still the girls enjoyed it. Took our own sweets and water, but did cough up for a meal deal thing, basically £2.50 for a book of the film, popcorn, smarties, and a drink. dd3 loves the book, and I'm sure it would have cost about that anyway!

Hope everyone has a lovely day, time to beat the hordes to the shops now! xx

    Morning!

Poppy, glad you found the ring, sorry about you and OH

Kyle and Twink - hugs to you today

Redruby - those sandwiches made me want to lick my computer screen

Pooky - My ebay sales are slow too, I listed half a dozen mags on Wed, all are selling, listed half a dozen more on Friday - not one watcher!

It's intermittent blue skies here, so did not bother going to the carboot. Intead will stay at home and do more Ebay listings/tidying.

I have found the most amazing cupboard for my kitchen - old larder cupboard, like haribo has got...but it's in Lancashire. I am in Cornwall, and have no van :( But I want it so very much!!!! I was going to get a dresser, but think I might just cheat and stick in a chest of drawers with some shelves on top :)

  • Morning everyone

Went to a Pampered Chef party last night and had 1 (or 2) too many glasses of vino - feeling a bit delicate this morning - ssshhh :o

Got lots to do as I din't manage much yesterday - DD went on a trip with the Brownies and DH and I went shoe shopping for a ball we are going to on Friday. I hate shoe shopping  Anyway after about 8 shops and a trip 10 miles away managed to get a pair for £20 that I managed to get my hobbit feet into :rotfl:

BM is on, need to start loading the WM - it will have to be TD today as the weather is awful. Hope it clears up for the tennis later on.

Catowen - you sound like you had a fab day yesterday.

    (((((hugs))))) to Twink and Kyle

Oh - I can hear all the helicopters travelling to Silverstone - it will be a noisy day today.
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)

    Morning all
I managed to get most of my washing dry yesterday so only have a few bits left to dry today.
I flushed the toilet this morning & something came disconnected inside, still hubby managed to mend it in a couple of mins, so it wasn't too bad.
I have yet more curtains to line & alter, though these are for my DS, I'll make a start on them later.
We are having lamb, new pots & spring greens for dinner, & burger for lunch, hubby is very much a creatue of habit, if the GP is on he has a burger!
I hope everyone has a good day
    Hugs Hester

Aussie I have tried to grow it here, but I think its just not hot enough, I will have to get one for in the house.

That's a good idea. I"m sure it will live if you talk to it regularly. All that hot air will keep it alive. :p:D It's good for black eyes too.

Mummysaver Just take it easy today. All procedures take time to recover.
Blairweech Sounds just the thing. I won a shirt for DGS on Ebay tonight for $2. ;) He's going to a wedding soon, and this one was lovely.
    taplady I agree. :D

Just finished tea which consisted of baked beans on toast, followed by banana custard. :D Byeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Morning (just).

The rain has stopped, although the dripping from the dodgy gutters and hopper at the top of the downspout was like chinese water torture all night. I insisted on leaving the windows open in the hope that OH might sort the problem out.
I need to go to Lidl to stock up on the half price salad stuff for work, I think the offer ends today :( and I'll have a wander to the Co-Op for the paper and see what whoopsie bargains thay have.

Hugs to Twink and Kyle, be careful on that ladder Twink.
Essex girl, hope DD's mouth feels better and enjoy that indian ;)
Catowen, I'm glad you had a good day and I hope DD has fun, I'm sure she will surrounded by her friends and people she feels safe with. When Miss twit went on those sort of trips, they had a pyramid thing. One parent was contact and they then phoned 2 parents with news etc and these 2 phoned 2 more, it worked well, especially with return times.
Beemuzed, pleased you survived the Ofsted.
    Poppy (((hugs)))
Blairweech, I'm in Lancashire, but I've no trips to Cornwall planned :( keep looking, they do crop up regularly on ebay. Good to see you back posting on here....was it your exOH that kept buying the pies

Big hugs to all, needed or not, take one it may be needed later.

Love to all The Twit. :grouphug:

Morning all, Had a very buy day y/day I cooked (YS) beef, made a casserole, portioned it into 6 meals and put in the freezer along with cauli and potato mash, HM beefburgers, salmon fishcakes, and a quiche. Have pulled out pork, curly kale, carrots, sprouts, and parsnips Allready cooked so that's dinner sorted. I feel I am having a battle with my freezer, I am trying to run it down as it neds defrosting, so everytime I fish out pre-cooked food I feel I'm wining. How sad is that. :o

Had a purge in the kitchen sorted out 6 cuboards, cleaned glass on some of the doors and did the windows. Swept the floor and washed it. Didn't finish untill 9pm. DH helped, with Fats Domino blasting out, we kept stopping for a dance. Had great fun :rotfl:

Washing up to date ready to be ironed, will do that tomorrow and pack our cases for our stay in France with friends. The scenery is beautiful, their farmhouse looks out on the Piranies.

DD1 is coming for the day, she missed us so much when we went to stay with DB1 in Spain. She was in tears when I phoned her, bless. She and DD2 worry when we travel, drive abroad.

Off to vacum bedrooms and clean bathrooms.

Smokie, Sending you strength for coping with sorting out care for the Lo's should anything happen. DH and I did that with our 2 DD's when they were little, some people thought it was morbid but we never know what's around the corner and we needed to know they would be loved and cared for.
Would it be possible to ask the Solicitor you have about the endowment? He may not charge as much. It may be worth Googling to see how you could do it. ((((((((( to you and Smokelets )))))))))

    Hugs to all x

    Hiya Back Again

Catowen - we were lucky and although it is windy the weather stayed dry for the fete. Glad you lot had a good day yesterday - have you decided when you are spending your harrods vouchers?

Thanks for the thoughts about DD's mouth, she has healed remarkably well, she was funny under sedation - when she first woke up she asked what had happened - I told her she had been really good and brave, the next time she woke up I told her the same but she had remembered by then that she had been screaming and crying. The dentists were really good and used to it, DD is 12 but they often have older teenagers being a lot worse and quite often the parents take the kids home without having anything done.

Am home for an hour or so then off to the pictures - cant wait, I loved the first Narnia film and read the books so many times as a child.
