Kyle - hope your boys feel better soon. *hugs to kyle and twink*

Essex-girl - hope the weather is good for the fete, though they do have a tendency to get really lovely weather or really wet weather.

Catowen - cinema prices are just ridiculous, as well as the food. Even with a student discount for me, it's still over a fiver. With your DD, I've found that for me, if I am doing activities, it takes my mind off home (I'm relating to when I started university), so hopefully this will be the same. If not, being a parent contact sounds like a very reassuring idea.

Beemuzed -yay for the end of Ofsted!

poppyoscar - *hugs*, I hope whatever you decide is the best for you

Here it is all grey and wet, not very nice. Good job that I am not planning to do anything outside. I am going to attempt to make brioche (!), and also going to have another stab at decluttering my room. I need to go to the charity shop next week and put up a load of listings. Then maybe I'll be able to see the floor. Need to flute practice as well - I would do it now, but everyone else is asleep.

    Morning all

Hugs to Kyle and Twink, hope your boys are better soon kyle.

Smokey glad you had a good day, I don't know much about endowment policies but 35% seems high to me, maybe you can shop around get some more info before you decide.

Poppy think you are wise to think about things.

Hugs to Jayward, PenPin, Candygirl and her Dad, Betheebee and her DB's and anyone I've missed.

was absolutely exhausted after being in London yesterday. Seminar was good and i went to the library after and found some more papers I'd been looking for. Got home at 6 and went straight to my allotment and watered. I don't know how people live in london, you can't breathe. OH took DS out for tapas and I watched Dr Who, it was so sad and had a nice bath and too much red wine.

Plan today to catch up on the things I normally do on a saturday. Will hang the washing out in a mo, empty dishwasher ect. Taking DS swimming later. OH is cooking chicken with lemon and thyme and DSS and his GF are coming around.

    Have a good day all.

Twinks and Kyle - Hugs to you today (hope the boys feel better soon too).

Cat - Sounds like you had a lovely day yesterday - hope DD has a great time.

Hugs to anyone else in need.

Blue skies here, although it's very windy so I'm sure the weather will turn when the tide changes....wish it had last night, one of the not so close neighbours had a party last night - they had a live band (which were so off key) and they were still belting out songs at gone midnight - both DD's had a distrubed night....then there was much revving of car engines and taxis at christ knows what time (but it was getting light). I'm all for people enjoying themselves but surely it wouldn't have hurt to let people know it was going to be loud and noisy........ rant over.

Got a couple of bits finishing on ebay today - seems very slow tho so not holding out much hope for any great amounts.

Was thinking of popping to a boot sale this morning but feeling very broke this week so best give it a miss.

Pot roast beef with roast pots and veg today - need to make some cakes for DD's too - there's not a lot in for lunch boxes this week.....might make something pastry/cheese/tomato/pepperoni related too.

Right - away to do some ironing - hope you all have a great day.

    Morning all,

its blowing a gale here, but no rain, I am hoping we might get some later, save me watering all the pots.

There is a strawberry fair near here today, so might pop along to that, plants cakes for sale that sort of thing, and need to get little dog out for a walk.

Took OH driving in his van yeterday, ( got his test soon ), and he was very good, apart from when he took a speed ramp in third gear, the b****y van nearly took off, and I nearly gave myself two black eyes  .

Prawn and smoked salmon (ys) salad for tea,and some rhubarb, from next doors garden with custard.

Yesterday whilst watering next doors pots, I picked 3 corgettes, a load of rocket, and a load of rhubarb, she has so much rhubarb, that she cant eat it quick enough, and its rotting on the plant, so I picked a load, but there is still a load there, so will pick some more to take up to my mum, there is a load more coming through.

I made steak sandwiches for tea yesterday, fried an onion, with garlic and corgettes, mixed in 1/2 tub of left over sour cream, sliced a tomato and fried, then added a hand full of rocket, put this in the oven to keep warm then, fried the steak in the same pan, put this all in a huge bit of french bread then poured juices over, it was delicious, and even my dd ate it all :T

Thanks all for the good wishes re dd's sunburn, it has gone down a lot, but she is still having trouble bending her legs, the aloe vera did the trick :T .

Aussie I have tried to grow it here, but I think its just not hot enough, I will have to get one for in the house.

Hugs to Twink, and Kyle today, hope its not too difficult for you both xx
Kyle hope the boys feel beter soon xx
Hugs to smoky and little ones, hope your weekend is ok xx
Jackieo glad you enjoyed your holiday
essexgirl, hope your dd's mouth is not too sore.
Cat, My dd recently done a residential trip, she loved it and she certanly appreciated me more when she got back, she said the food was terrible, and she only got 2 roasties   , hope your dd has a great time x
Good luck to pen pen x
Poppy glad you found your ring, I think you know the decission you have made is the correct one, hugs xx

well weather yesterday was lovely and it doesnt look too bad this am in Essex but we shall see didnt get on to post yesterday as we were going to go to Kentwell hall but due to the weather report decided to give it a miss and paint the porch which then turned into a revamp with new shoe racks/coat hooks and tiles so will be carrying on today.

Me again, :D I'm Moiliering too now.

Smoky just read the end of yesterdays, thread, re the endowment thing, I would suggest doing it yourself, I did it a few years back, and although it was a bit of trouble, writing letters filling in forms etc, it certanly was not difficult, and I ended up being awarded several £1000.

Unfortunatly I can't remember it in enough detail to be able to give you any practical help, but I am sure you will be able to get some help on the web. Why give someone 35% unless you have to. Although I know you have an awful lot of other things on your mind, it might be worth a go, hugs to you all xx
