Yes I would rather the items went to someone genuinely in need. But I haven't got a problem with carbooters (or Ebayers). The stuff ends up going to someone who wants it.
The main principle of Freecycle is to stop sending stuff to landfill.0 -
We've given away a pc flatbed scanner, a printer and a keyboard and monitor, laminate flooring, and we've received a clothes rail and a children's bike seatNuts oh Hazelnuts:rotfl:0

We have just recieved a 28" flat screen colour tv. when we moved we gave away so much stuff, hundreds of pounds worth of cd's and videos, book etc.
i could have probably got a lot of money for them on ebay, but would have taken too much time and therefore wouldn't have gained me anything so i gave them to people who wanted them.
freecycle is superb!Losing weight and saving money!:j0 -

I've given away a few bits, my hifi and cabinet, desk, offered things like monitors but no takers. I don't seem to have much luck but I've put an ask for someone's table and chairs so touch wood hopefully I'll find out tomorrow if I'm lucky!

My first offer was a small table lamp which was snapped up. Since then I've offered a cordless keyboard and mouse (still boxed), printer needing attention (grabbed by a guy needing that model for parts) and a very large chest of drawers.
I've successfully applied for a crochet book, a digital steam sterilising unit (Tommee Tippee) and a baby walker.
Currently on the look out for a single divan bed (with drawers if possible) - but haven't actually advertised for one.0 -
I gave away a budgie cage & accessories but haven't received anything yet - there's too many 'wanted' posts and not enough on offer!! :rolleyes:0
