:j I have received a fabulous, although very old sewing machine in cabinet. It has loads of stitches on it including embroidery stitches.I have made so many things since I"ve had it.I have given away a Tv and car bike carrier.
I am really pleased.:j0 -
I've given away loads, car, bed, loads of baby stuff, plants, pool, books, printer. I found a home for some half full pots of paint and 24 sacks of leaves (thanks to my neighbours oak trees).
At the moment i'm trying to find a homes for some duvet covers, pushchair, baby walker (as new) and moses basket stand (as new) Had no takers after a week??
All I've recieved so far is an old trunk (now painted toy box) and some plastic plant pots.
I think Freecycle is great, the only down side is waiting in for people that sometimes don't turn up.0 -
Forgot to add I have given away 120 bricks, (someone promised to make a barbeque for me and never did) I didn't want to take them downstairs as I live on the 1st floor and a man of about 70 managed it with no problems and I was embarrassed at how unfit I am, and the fact I didn't want to break a nail.:D
I think freecycle is a great idea, but yes I have noticed people starting to try it on asking for luxury items.
Wishing you a lucky 2026: 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀0 -
given away an electrci shredder and a load of shelving (an older chap collecting it and carried it in a box on a bike!!!!!)
received heated clothes dryer and this weekend got 3 big bags of kitty litter.
The iste is a gem, and its lovely to see how much does get given away - not just for recylcling sake but to help those on low income0 -
I've just been offered a king size bed :j :j
which is good seeing as though the springs on my mattress have started poking through, and the base is broke... going to pick it up tomorrow :jPigsback - 500 points, Happyfly - £37.92, Juicy Brains - £1.25, Valued Opinions - Zilch, Casback Rewards - £2.78

Waited in all yesterday for someone picking up the duvet covers at (10am) she eventually turned up at 6.30pm, How annoying is that?? Still no takers for the rest of the stuff. I've since added to the list, with no replies.
Is there a ban on car boot sales at the moment?
There seems to about 80% wanted adds at the moment. I emailed someone that wanted a baby walker over a week ago, she hasn't replied.
I think I'll do myself a favour and take it all to the nearest charity shop.
I don't like using the bags you get through the door any more as
there was a piece in the local paper about dodgy charity collectors, the sort that put a bag/leaflet through the door. It seems only a tiny % goes to the actual charity if at all in some cases.0 -
i gave away a piano (i really miss it but i needed the space)
i've never taken anything though. nothing i've ever really needed.
i'm sorry to hear some of you have had a bad experience. and i agree maria340 we''ve had some dodgy charity collectors around here too.0
