Sorry to say this andy but one other sensitive factor will be how much you sweat - if you are making the shirt damp, and then sitting leaning back on it creased, those creases will embed. You might find wearing a "vest" underneath helps as it will absorb your bodily moisture rather than putting into the shirt. It doesn't need to be a grandad string special but a decent white t shirt style underneath may also help you get longer out of them.Adventure before Dementia!0

Fair enoughI tend to wear one of those men vest underneath the Shirt - not the Grandad style ones. Its especially important when the shirt is too thin - dont want to revel anything

Yes, I have some of those M&S one's and they are good - easy to maintain. I have some nice cotton Van Heusen shirts (bought them on sale), lovely thin cotton shirt but painful to Iron and easily gets creased. By the end of the day it looks like I have been working in the Mine! I think the starch spray should help, need to try it out.
I think where we are going wrong is that we let the clothes stay in the washing machine for a while (3-4 hrs) before we put it up for Drying.
BTW whats the best way to use the starch spray, spray it on shirt before ironing or after ironing?
Thats where the problem lies, leaving them lying creased up in the machine for all that time... if you have a spin delay button on the machine you should use it.. also turn the spin speed down a bit will help, and take them out as soon as they are finished spinning and hang them up , or even put them on hangers to dry but iron them before they are completely dry.. with trousers it helps if you don't screw them up and throw them in the laundry bin but fold them in their creases, I'm always telling my husband this..#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j
