Have just read all the way through this K2nga, sorry you are having such a very tough time of it. I sincerely hope things improve for you and the CAB gets things sorted out.

And the fact you were offered a loan did they know you were BR and cannot have one above £500 I think my judge said, or did he say £250, he said the latter and I thought he was wrong, but did not comment. Why would you want to get back in debt these people are so stupid.

Hope the new place looks better from the inside then.

    Latest Update:

Well another letter from Lloyds Tsb applying more charges to my overdraft but now they have decided to send letters to my old address i guess in the vain hope that someone there will pay them. So yet another letter to the OR about this and i am now beginning to convince myself that still getting letter is ruining my chances of ED.

We are still trying to get housing benifit and council tax benifit since my appeal they have doubled it but im still not sure it is right and so far they have given nothing to my mother in law who lives with us. We have also been told that after 13 weeks we will not longer get the extra money and myself and my OH will get £198 pounds a month towards our £725 a months rent its made better by the fact that that date happens to be the 22nd of december just a few days before Christmas. We have been told by the letting company that we will be getting an eviction notice not only because we have not been able to pay the rent but because the landlord has had a change in circumstances he wants to move back to his place.

I have to say the agent has so far been great but i am wondering if they will be able to help us find anything else.

I called the housing people again to keep them up to date. I dont think they can really help i bet they are getting loads of calls from people like me but i wanted to get some information from them as i think that the council has made us lose our home for not getting out benefit right from the start. More bad news from them.....they say that although we may end up in a hostle we cant take the cats something i have kept from my other half as she would be destroyed even if the cats (2) had to go in a cattery for a while.

As it looks like we are going to get little help as well on the council tax today i will have to go to the CAB again as after looking at these figures i just cant work it all out and my head spins just thinking about it all. I am convinced they send all the paperwork so that you just give in but im not in aposition where i can do that as we have nothing and we cant not eat again like we had to a few weeks ago.

We are just about keeping on top of our house bills but my oh and mother in law cant pay any of there bills so the CAB have been trying to help them.

In the end had to call members of the family to ask if we could give Christmas a miss this year as we certainly wont be able to afford it. Thankfully they were really good a alot of them relieved as well i think.

I have little chance of being able to get a job while i am still undischarged i have been told and even told by the job centre that i will have an uphill struggle.

Who says BR is an easy option but i still try to look forward and with the hope that i can really be that far from the bottom now and hope that we will start going up soon.

Its silly how BR makes you think and brings you back to what life really is all about and i am really hoping we will me able to afford a really good christmas lunch and thats all i want for Christmas.

You really are having a tough time and i really feel for you. I can relate totally with HB, as when we went unemployed earlier this year,we had hell of game with it. Paid what they told us but still came out with over £200 arrears:eek: So much for a debt free future:mad: .Just hang on to the thought that 2009 is just around the corner and it could not be anywhere near as bad as 2008:D .If you pm me your address i will send you one of my homemade boozy xmas pudds but you will have to buy your own cream:rotfl: .Dx

thanks to all who have responded its great o have some much support and i thought i would give a further update to my diary.

Well after a slow start the CAB have been brilliant and given good advice all the way it appears as me and my partner live with her mum and she is on the lease that the council say we live as shared and that becase of some change in the benefit system back in April they can interpret the system in a different way and that after the 13 weeks protection on the rent we will just get £300 the 3 of us towards the £725 a month rent if we cant find jobs which is not very easy at all at the moment.

Well like i think i have said before the landlord has had enough and a change in circumstances himself and wants his place back. As we have been so upfront the agent has been brilliant and found us another place for a bit less at £650 which is great. I called the CAB this morning and they have advised me and my partner to only have us on the lease with her mum as a non dependant and that way they will pay all the rent. I hope they are right..........

Well i had some paperwork go missing with the OR the other week so i called the OR this afternoon and they now have the new paperwork and i told them i was moving which they asked for in writing which is not a problem at all. The OR then said that they would not apply for me to get ED now as they had completed the work on me now (I was so shocked after all the bad luck i really was i could not believe it) she said that she would take the file to the ED Clerk and call me back. She did too just 10 mins later and said i was to call her in 2 weeks and she would let me know how it was going . :) so with so many nasty things happened over the last few months this is a nice thing to happen and it would be great if it was all done by Christmas what a present that would be.........

Hopefully this will give everyone a bit of hope to and that keep going to get help and dont let then slam the door in your face and the CAB wont turn you away they are great.

Well as requested i called the OR today and was told congratulations that i was now discharged? Really in 2 weeks is it really that quick i did get a letter on the 26th of Nov about applying to be released as trustee.

I really want to celebrate but i am really sceptical about it. I like everyone on here has been busily checking the insolvency website to see if i am on there and i still am although i think i read on here somewhere that it can take 2 weeks for the site to be right.

I really want it to be right as we are moving on the 20th and it would make my Christmas it really would.
