    New Update,

Had a letter from HMRC today asking for information as they think i paid to much tax last year due to me not having a job for at least half the year. I guess i am filling that out so that the OR can get any money that might have been owed to me. Anyway i had a quick query and they were really helpful.

Anyway maybe my luck is changing. As i had a letter from the OR about my van i thought i best book it in for its MOT thats due at the end of the month and Whhhhhooopppppeeee it passed.

I also thought i would have a go back at companies that i think have done me wrong in the past. I emailed Baines and Ernst about my failed IVA as it is clear to me now that they tried to miss sell that to me and made of with over £400 of my pounds and i also tried one of the sites that i saw on here that i believe may have miss sold me a PPI that was useless. Even if i have to pay 25% to the company to do it if i win and even if the OR takes it all i dont care as long as they dont have it.

Well going down the road to getting any money back on my mis sold PPI was a waste of time. The company sent me a letter back this morning saying that because i was BR they may not be able to get there fee so unless i could guarantee there fee they will not take the claim forward. :(

Baines and Ernst have still not replied? Has anyone managed to get money back from them or is there a letter i can send them that will make them take notice of them trying to miss sell me an IVA?

Well as i thought Baines and Ernst have still not replied to my letter so goes to show that they are quite happy to take your money after trying to miss sell an IVA.If anyone has had success with this then please let me know what you wrote as so far no good for me.

One thing i have realised over the weekend was when i was the Director of a company i gave a personal guarantee which i had forgotten about but as the lease runs till 2016 and although i am nothing to do with the business anymore i best talk to the OR and let them no and hope they are not too annoyed with me. :(

Well i had my letter from DVLA to say that all the paperwork for the car was now completed and that i did not own it anymore.

So all in all going well although i cant help but think me fogetting about the lease might get me into trouble or blow anychance of ED.

Well i contacted the OR today they asked me to send over the paperwork on email if i could and they will look at it and get rid of it for me so not as bad as i thought it might be considering i had totally forgotten about it.

Well i contacted the OR and emailed over the lease to them. I was surprised that they were so cool about it. In fact they said "we will sort that as you wont want to have that hanging over your head". That gave me a sigh of relief as i thought they would have told me off about it.

    Well another challenging week.

Started on Tuesday by being told that i was being layed off in fact the shop was shutting as it as no money to carry on. So then spent an hour on the phone to get signed on and start claims for housing benefit which i hope happens quickly as i can see my landlord issuing me with an eviction notice if i dont come up with the rent and we no prospect of getting another place i not sure what would happen.

I signed on on friday but could not really see what jobs i could go for as i live in a very small town with very few jobs about. Of course i have my van so contacted the OR who had already given a certificate to say i could keep it. They informed me that they had no further interest in the van so it was mine to do as i wish. So i guess i could sell it? A car would be more useful as the van costs a bit to run and unless i need the van for work its a bit of a waste.

Hi K2nga, I hope your housing benefit comes through quickly for you. I recently applied for CTC and WTC, sent off the forms and kind of forgot about it. One evening my husband looked at his account online and there was over £2,000 sitting there - they had back paid us from April! We were so excited.

Thanks Fiveyearplan. Its going to be hard enough to find a job just at the moment without having to find a home as well.

Well our bad luck seems to just keep coming.

After losing our jobs due to my partners shop failing because of the credit crunch we are still waiting to hear about wether we will get job seekers allowance. We were told to do a joint claim me and my partner but because my partner had her shop and was effectively self employed they have to send all the paperwork of which she has sent them a mountain of it now has to go to a decision maker. We have signed on twice and have so far not recieved a penny and our application for housing benefit and council tax benefit is also stalled until we get that answer.

So this has left us unable to buy any food for over a month and now we are getting behind on bills and rent. I pointed out to the JSA that although we signed last week i now have no diesel in out van and how do they expect me and my partner to get to the Jobcentre which is a 40 mile round trip for us without some money and its annoying when you think there seems no problem with my application.

I have phoned and phoned and there only reply is get a crises loan. Oh great after having to go BR because of debt they then want me to take a loan from then and be back in debt to them its a joke and if they only paid the JSA payment like they are supposed to tomorrow then we would have at least money for food.

Apart from that its a nightmare trying to find a job at the moment certainly in our are area and even the jobcentre told us there was not much hope at the moment.
