:bdaycake::bdaycake::bdaycake: HAPPY BIRTHDAY K2nga !!0
-
Thank you very much but me enjoying my birthday was a little short lived.
I had some friends call last night and said come over for a drink some 20 miles away but a bar on the seafront which is really nice.
I said to my fiancee shall we go and we agreed it would be nice so i quickly drove off to town to get some money. I went to my abbey account and the card was refused. mmmmm whats going on i thought so went to another cashpoint nope the same.
So i went back to the car and called Abbey they said well the reason for that is there is a block on your account as you are BR. I explained that i was not anymore and that they knew that as they had contacted me to say i could have the account back and they had sent me new details to get back into the account through the internet and they had happily let me put 4 lots of money into the account over the last 2 months.
After a about 4 times being put on hold they said sorry the could not help but if i called on Saturday morning they would put me through to the right department. Well i did and 7 phone calls and 45mins this morning i was still no further forward and they said i would have to go to the nearest branch which is some 25 miles from where i live so this afternoon i went in. I explained what had happened the lady was not that friendly if i am honest i think it was because i had disturbed there conversation when i walked in but she says that they hope to they would get it sorted now they have my ED paperwork and would call me to let me know. I pointed out that it had ruined my birthday but it was kind of on deaf ears so i have found a complaint number and will call them on Monday to make a complaint.:mad: Like i pointed out the them i never asked for the account back they gave it to me or so i thought.:cheesy: K2nga :cheesy:

Thank you. I did raid my main account in the end and tried not to ket it ruin my drink and i was only on coke anyway but it did play on my mind i have to admit. I just could not understand why they would send me a letter and card giving me back the account, let me change my address, let me change my cards pin & let me add funds to the account knowing full well i could not get it back. I just hope that this is all now sorted as what money they have is all i have and i dont want to have problems with that.:cheesy: K2nga :cheesy:

TBH I don't think their left hand knows what the right hand is doing. I don't think it was done on purpose just incompetence.

The thing that gets me is the lack of care. Money is the last thing you want to have problems with when you are BR or going through BR. My heart sank when i realised that i could not get to my money in an account given back to me so i felt like a valued customer. I dont feel like that anymore.:cheesy: K2nga :cheesy:
