Exercising the body is exercising the mind. Hopefully you will skip with the minimum of clothing on and for long enought to ensure you get adequate Vitamin D3

Now for some reason , the past 2 nights I have been going to wee alot through the night? Last night it was 4 times which I do not understand cos I didnt have a drink last night ? Could this be the fluid retention going ?
    (i hope so).
This thread explains the frequent urination problem some people experience in the ealy stages of this way of eating.

    Smoked trout is "gorgeous!!!"

I ended up buying two bras a cup size down as Tesco were having a sale. I reckoned at £4 a bra it was silly not to get some - and the new knickers a size down - and the fitted sheets that I actually went in for in the first place.

I found some trousers in M and S that are stretchy fabric and do not have a zip so they are more comfortable and nearly two sizes down from my worst weight, which gives me a psychological boost.

In about six weeks I might try the other trousers in my wardrobe on again (they fasten but I can just about sit down in them- in six weeks I hope they will be a bit loose).

Re constantly going to the loo reminds me of a book I read ages ago called the "Waterfall diet" which deals with fluid retention and the causes of it and aims to find the foods that you are better not to eat.

By low carbing, Atkinsing, idiotproofing,Dr.D'ing etc. we are all following some of the principles in that book.

Had a cold bratwurst and three slices of Crackerbread (low carb) with cream cheese for brekkie and a huge cup of coffee.

Will make another loaf in the BM and a pot of pea soup in the slow cooker for DH and DDs for later.

I have made sure I always have plenty of eggs in the fridge, some bacon, cheese etc. and low carb sausage and salmon fillets in the freezer.

Thanks Ted ,, it seems to be normal from what has been said ,
and I think it is the water retention going , today my tummy feels smaller already :D .

This morning my Da Vinci syrups turned up ,
So I decided to make a smoothie.
I got some blueberrys out of the freezer and read the box ,
it had a recipe on it ....

    BLUEBERRY MOUSSE

    350g blueberries
grated rind and juice of half a lemon
    150ml double cream
    fresh mint to decorate

(it does say add sugar - maybe replace with Da vinci or sweetner ? )

the smoothie I made was ......

    handfull of blueberries.
    a natual yogurt.
    2 tbsp of double cream.
1 teaspoon of Da vincie syrup.

It tastes so yummy , I love this way of eating :D
    Kindness costs nothing :)

elona , the waterfall diet sounds very apt ,lol.

I went in M & S a week ago , infact that was the moment that made me decide enough is enough ! I have been in a size 14 for the past 6 months
( i am only 5ft 1") but when I went in there , the size 14s no longer fitted
and the size 16s did  .

I could of cried and as I looked in the shop mirror at myself I felt dreadful. So I told my husband he should take me there weekly to remind me why I am doing this - the mirrors there really are not kind ,lol.

I have wondered , are we allowed to eat PEAS ? are they a high carb food ?

Also , what is a bratwurst ? Never of heard of it before ?

Same with the mirrors in our caravan shower room. So close you couldn't avoid being aware how large the area closest to the mirror really was. I was a great pleasure though to be able to shower and look in the mirror without feeling ashamed.

Unfortunately the answer is that peas are a high carb veg so aren't helpful. I think you could get away with the mangetout or sugarsnap peas as the green pods would counteract the carby pea.

German sausage. Could have a very high sodium/salt content and high saturated fat levels.

Hello my lovlies :hello: Guess wot - it's friiiidaaayyyy!!!! :j :D

Don't know about you, but this week really felt like a long week rather than a short one! Think I'm still in holiday mode lol. Been really hungry this week too, dunno why.

I was about to type out what I have with me for lunch today, but I can't actually remember lol!:o I know it involves salad but it was a bit late last night when I was putting it together so the details are somewhat sketchy:D

Going to attempt a sort-of salmon teriyaki tonight for dinner, with those wild Alaskan salmon fillets I bought the other day. Make a marinade with tamari, fresh ginger and garlic, etc. And some stir-fried veggies to go with it, me finks.

Reckon I'll put the kettle on for a cuppa and then press on with the day. Looking forward to leaving the office tonight and starting the weekend in earnest:)

birde - yes, smoked trout is yum!

mirry - I totally understand how you feel. I am only five foot myself; it's a hard enough job trying to get anything to fit when you are that height, and if you're not stick thin it's even worse:rolleyes: I swear those mirrors in M&S make me look even more hideous than I already am!

elona - I wish I had your willpower. There is no way I could have homemade bread and pea soup in the house and not eat it!:o And well done on two sizes down :T

Have a good day everyone!

    Much love to all,

The two sizes down is a bit of a cheat - I can only fit in the 2 sizes smaller trousers because they are stretchy!

But anything hat keeps me motivated is worth trying.

When I go to the cinema with DD now she has ice cream or something like that and I have a large cup of coffee!
