If you must have dessert opt for berries and cream. You are trying to wean yourself off unnecessary carbs for me that means no breakfast cereal, no bread, pasta, rice, flour or sugar. However I also live in the real world and when I stayed with my sister a while ago she was doing toast and marmalade for breakfast so I had that. I would have felt bad asking for eggs but the point is if you stay low carb for 80% of the time you will be able to lose weight and live in the real world. BUT trying to cheat by having dessert when you have just had a meal seems daft to me because you are not hungry - you just have the fancies.

Hubby really needs to curb that sweet tooth - it's the whole point of the diet!

Oh tell me about itrolleyes.gif He tries bless him but he's so used to having something sweet after a meal that he's finding it hard.More often than not he chews on a piece of sugarfree chewing gum to relieve the need for something sweet. But as he's lost nearly a stone like me and gives himself the occasional treat it makes me sick I've lost the same and never cheatedangry-smiley-030.gif

My OH was the same. It's easier for men as their fat/muscle levels are different ;)

He needs to break the habit - sugar free gum is high in carbs ;)

Had a late lunch of pork chop and caulifower cheese.

French loaf has just come out of the BM so am sitting well away from it.

DH says it is really nice - high praise from him!!!;)

Bratwurst are in the oven (low carb) for the rest of the family for later.

Bought myself a new bra in the Tesco sale as I think I am a cup size down.

Once I think my size is more stable I might go and get measured at Bravissima in Leeds.

Have just had some fresh raspberries and greek yoghurt so I am not tempted by the fresh bread!

Hi Daisy, glad to see you back on track!

I do aquafit once or twice a week and weather depending I go for walks and bike rides. I must admit that I've not been doing as much exercise as I should though!

I just had a lovely scrummy dinner, tuna steaks with a stir fry of brocolli, leeks and fine green beans followed by low-carb chocolate brownie and whipped cream. Mmmmmmmmmmmm! I'm really liking this diet!

While I hope of course that everyone is getting regular daily exercise for the good of their heart, their brain and general physical fitness I hope you all understand that the connection between obesity, weight loss and exercise is not proven and generally speaking increasing exercise with the intention of this extra exercise being reflected in increased weight loss is futile

Now I have lost a lot of weight I am better able to move around and thus I am now more physically active than I was previously BUT this extra exercise is the result of weight loss and NOT the cause of my weight loss.

From the Evolutionary perspective Arthur De Vany has this to say about exercise work outs. Art's point is that exercise should be fun, playful and not drudgery.

just to clarify - i dont believe you should just exercise because you are watching what you eat and trying to lose weight

as a gym instructor/fitness consultant i firmly believe that exercise should be for EVERYONE :)

Hi guys , Daisy I pruchased myself a skipping rope a few weeks ago and manange to use it daily in the garden on the patio .

Elona , last week I treated myself to 3 new bras , then started my diet , silly me !!! Luckily I have kept alot of my old slimmer clothes which I look forward to wearing again. I hated it when i went clothes shopping last week , and had to look in that mirror  .

Now for some reason , the past 2 nights I have been going to wee alot through the night? Last night it was 4 times which I do not understand cos I didnt have a drink last night ? Could this be the fluid retention going ?
    (i hope so).

Tonight I am thinking about having a ready meal that has no carbs ,
its icelands Scollops - coated in a butter sauce.
Do scollops tast nice does anyone know ?
    Kindness costs nothing :)

I'm not the biggest fan of scallops but I'm fairly picky when it comes to food! Although I've been much better since starting this diet, I'm trying food I'd never have touched before!

I've got hot smoked trout from M&S for my lunch today and I really hope that it's nice! I've brought lots of snacky stuff to fill up on if I don't like it, I'm always prepared!
