I will be having some pork and cabbage with a little of the roasted veg.
Have decided to do what suits DH and myself rather than fit everyhing around DDs!!!

Have just had a few low carb sausages (0.7%) and a couple of cherry tomatoes for breakfast.
Plan on making cauli cheese later with a pork chop for me and then will think what the rest of the family want. Might bake a loaf or home made rolls later or see if they fancy making pizza dough.

Are there any low carb soups that you can buy in normal shops?
The family all like pea soup or lentil soup and I can't make six litres of the stuff just for me in the slow cooker."This site is addictive!"

Whoop! Lost the magical first stone! It has taken me exactly 5 weeks with the only blips being 2 celebrations with alcohol - and I rarely drink.
It seems I have lost the weight I put on last, first. I had developed a bit of a paunch, which has disappeared. Only drawback being, I have no jeans that stay up, now! Belts are useless as the weight of them just drags the trousers down again. I'm reluctant to buy any new ones as I intend to lose more inches!"Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.0 -

I agree ! I am loathe to buy new clothes as they wont fit for long- Thank god for primark ! £6 for a pair of jeans. I am not complaining about the situation, the more the merrier. I only weigh myself every fortnight and am coming up for weigh-in number 3 on Sunday- I can't weight.
Started 21/07/08 224lb last weigh in 210lb 17/08/08. target 161lb0 -
Congratulations on your losses!
I'm having the same trouble with clothes, but don't buy in Primark (never have). I;m just buying everything in 3 sizes, and passing things off to friends when they become too big after 2 or 3 wears :j
Am also discovering lots of my 'thin' clothes that I hid away and am slowly getting back into each and every one of them :j :j0 -
i think some of the campbells condensed cream of soups are pretty low in carbs but uwould need to check the labels, or just simmer some veggi for 20mins or so and whizz it up for soup for you, u can always freeze what u dont eat or make the leek soup u usually make just dont add the spuds toit
well done everyone on their losses,, aah the joy of clothes being too big, check yr local freecycle group for smaller clothes, then u can offer yrs that are too big in return

Hi everyone , I have been reading this thread with alot of interest because I really have to loose weight. The past 2 days I have been avoiding carbs because I stood on the scales and could not believe I was 11stone 6lb ,
when I am only 5ft 1" ......:o .
I suppose I had a run of bad luck , I developed a inner ear disorder that caused me to get so dizzy i couldnt function , so I stopped all activity.
Then the hospital put me on some pills ,BUT a side effect was weight gain  .
So here I am , desperate and willing to learn.
Today I have eaten ,
2 eggs (omlette)
Yogurt.
BBQ chicken and beetroot , carrot and salad leaves.
A few strawberries.
Kippers and butter.
Yogurt.
I also drink decaf tea/coffee, but would like to know how I can sweeten up my coffee ? any ideas much appreciated.
Look forward to doing this plan with you guys
