Giving DD a lift to newcasle with heavy and awkward stuff to put in the student house in advance of second year.

Left at 10 a.m. and had a very quick bacon and eggs at home before we left.

Made sandwiches for DH at lunch time as a picnic on the way back and I stuck to having just a cup of coffee.

Baked trout with green beans, broccoli and cauili in a little cheese sauce for tea and DDs and DH had baked potato with theirs.

Rest of family had apple crumble and custard but I did not and will have a coffee with cream later.

Got a wedding and a christening this weekend so I need to be really good this week and shed a few pounds as the dress I've got I bought last year and whilst it fits now it would be nice to lose a couple of pounds to make it a little looser IYKWIM

Hope you all have a good day

Good morning all! Hope everyone's weekend was good!

I think I stuck to the plan this weekend, but as I ate out a couple of times I'm not convinced all was low carb! Ah well, I'm back on track today!

We went to a restaurant yesterday and had a burger and asked for the low carb version, instead of bread and chips I got grilled vegetables... but they have no idea what classes as low carb as the veggies consisted of parsnips, carrots, red and yellow peppers, onions and brocolli! I ate just some of the onions and brocolli and felt a bit cheated! But I did resist my BF's chips! I'm getting good at ignoring the food I used to love!

I must admit to having a little slurp of his chocolate ice cream though! I must make my own low carb ice cream this week so I don't do that again, and I can eat a bowl of mine without feeling guilty rather than feeling really naughty after a little teaspoonful of his!

  • Hello again, all you losers (low carb, that is) !!
Pleased to report that I am very slowly losing weight, about half a pound every other day.I know, I know, but I can`t resist weighing myself every morning....

With regard to eating out, I think one of the best places to go is Harvester`s.(Not an employee, just satisfied customer!) Because you can just have the meat dish on it`s own and pick out what you like from the salad cart. The blue cheese mayo is a bit addictive, though. And it`s cheaper at lunchtimes....

Sampled those Fridge Raiders at the weekend but not impressed. Also, on the label, it says Palm Oil, which I believe is not too good for you. They taste "processed", at any rate.....only slightly better than nothing...but that`s just my opinion.rolleyes.gif

Does any one know of a source of cheap freeze dried berries,(the sort you get in breakfast cereal)? I used to get them on a market stall, but haven`t seen them for months. They`re brilliant and keep for ages in an airtight container.
    :embarasse:rolleyes2
What targets do you folks have? I`m hoping to get into higher leg boots this Autumn, they`re so much more flattering than half-mast ones! Also, I have a couple of rings which are a bit too tight for comfort.:o

Morning! It was weigh in day today and I've stayed the same but I'm not worried because a) I was slightly off course at the weekend and b) it is 'Monthly Bloat' time! I made cheese scones last night using ground almonds, yummy! I was very impressed with myself, but not impressed when the vultures a.k.a the parents decided that they were nice and wanted more! They can eat real scones, why do they have to eat my special ones?!I think I'm going to try to make cupcakes with cream cheese icing tonight. I've become a right baker since starting this diet! And the scary thing is that I enjoy it!Nerdy, my targets aren't as big as some others as fortunately I don't have that much to lose but I want to get to my target weight/size and stay there! I want to be a comfortable size 10 and feel good in my bikini on holiday (in 2 weeks so I'd better get shrinking, I must get out on my bike if it ever stops raining!). After my holiday I'd like to wear skirts and jeans without my big hips sticking out the top!

Argh! Sorry about the one massive lump of writing. I'm at work and for some reason it doesn't let me click the thanks button or write in paragraphs!

    Morning Nerdy,Birdie and shykins

Nerdy I know you're not supposed to weigh everyday but I cant resist some morning too,and being so close to my first stone has made me even more tempted.Well this morning I was rewarded I have officially lost my first stone wooooohoooooobeerchug.gif

My size 20 clothes are now getting to the stage where they just hang off me.I can get in a size 18 comfortably and at a squeeze can get in a 16.I want to get comfortably into a 14 and then I'll be a happy bunny anything else is a bonusbiggrin.gif

Birdie you seem to be more of a social animal than me and so I can understand why its harder for you to lose weight. How much do you need to lose to be comfortable in that bikini?

OMG I tried the sugar free jellies last night and they are rank. This might just be personal taste but I was expecting a jelly but what I got was sort of soggyconfused-smiley-013.gifI suppose if you were desperate for something sweet they would fit the bill but I prefer strawberries and cream

Well hope everyone has a good day
