Buttery scrambled eggs with little lumps of feta is very pleasant!
Mercy, I've never bought feta - it's the cheese lumps in oil isn't it?? Do I use the oil?? Forgive my ignorance!! :o
Last week I found the mexican fudge a great boon. Easy to cart about and tried some of it with slivers of spring onion instead of the chilli, and another part just had hot pepperami in it. Both were nice. Think I still prefer the chilli though :)
    Sounds very yummy :D
It's been very windy here in Bolton today, had hair well strapped down as I can't see where I'm going when it's this wild :)
Here too, walked next to beach yesterday & looked like something the cat had dragged in when I got back to the car - even had sand in my cleavage!! :rotfl:

At least the walk did me good, I was glowing afterwards!!

I'm like that with loo rolls!! :rotfl: Have to fight to get into the cloakroom sometimes!! :rotfl:
  • Well done on bypassing the chippie jumping - respect!!
  • Good morning all, another early one for me :hello: Why doesn't my bodyclock realise it's Sunday?!
Don't mind being up actually because it's a beautiful morning here - have stuck some washing in & I'm onto my second cup of coffee. Would like to be sat outside having my brekkie but nowhere to sit - my aim this year (& for the last 2 years) is to have a lovely wooden table/chair/parasol set in the garden so maybe this year I will get one. Also need to get a wireless router sorted so I can take my lappy outside with me.
Going for a family picnic today so been trying to think of something I could take with me & decided on pork steaks & cheese, just waiting for the pork steaks to defrost as forgot to take them out of the freezer last night!!
    So, menu for today
B - buttery scrambled eggs (I'm going to chop a giggle (creamy cheese pod) over them, pinching Mercy's idea)
L - picnic of pork steaks, cheese cubes & anything else I can think of
D - oh heck, haven't thought of dinner, trip to co-op after day out methinks. Have to be back for 3pm for hubby to watch football on tv anyway.
Have a lovely day everyone. What's everyone else up to today?

Early one for me too, been fighting to go back to sleep but the sun got the better of me:D

I lead such a boring life  been on my own for over eight years now and would be nice to have someone to do things with. got my friends of course but they have their husbands and partners.

Some of my single friends in same boat though but live 20-30 miles away so dont get together too often.

Ah well, such is life. Today will get the leg of lamb in soon, do some washing, maybe some ironing:rolleyes: then continue my search for a cross trainer. Would love to be going out for the day instead:D

Back to work tomorrow so an early night.
See, told you it was boring
  • mazzers, sometimes I wish I was single!! Doing my own thing, having no one to answer to, no ones smelly washing to do etc etc!! We always think the grass is greener on the other side I suppose. Swings & roundabouts.
Good luck with the cross-trainer thingy - I don't even know what one is but it sounds good!! I haven't been on the treadmill (I only walk on it :o ) for ages but tbh I prefer to walk outside anyway, & I'm not using up electricity, just calories!! :rotfl:
Youngest daughter has just got out of bed & is now sat next to me whinging like mad about going out today - she doesn't want to - she never does!! Happy days!!

Had to go out tonight and on way back was starving but I managed to bypass the chippie  and went to late night shop and bought a pack of cold ham to eat in car. Before I would have made a beeline for chips.

Well done.. thats when i knew i was getting there, me and a friend not eaten for hours and hours due to unforseen circumstances and she wanted to go chippie (so did i really) but i wouldn't go, came home and chomped on some cheese while i quickly cooked some bacon. :A

How did you get a pic of my OH mazzers?????? (I'll leave you to work out which one I'm referring to :rotfl: )

I've just surfaced and I'm sat here with a cuppa and a sore head. Not from drinking I hasten to add. I just coudn't get to sleep again last night, it must have been 4am before I finally dropped off so I slept in this morning.

I felt really fat yesterday, bloated the lot. I seriously expected to have put on at least 2 lbs, especially since I've had wine and loads of peanuts this week. :o However a sneak preview on the scales (weigh day is tomorrow really) show that isn't the case and I've actually lost a wee bit. My body has a mind of it's own.

I now have an issue with horrible arms. When I was heavier, the tops of my arms were kinda solid iyswim but now I'm losing, they are going all saggy baggy and look horrible. I haven't been exercising but I obviously now need to start. What's bothering me though is that my 45 yr old skin just isn't as forgiving as it used to be and I might end up like one of those peeps you sometimes see on the telly who need to get wads of skin cut away surgically.

    *goes off into panic mode*

It's kinda ironic that when I finally get to the stage where I care.....it might be too late to get a good result. Oh well, there's always tops with sleeves I suppose. :rotfl:

Anyway, we might be heading off for a walk along the beach later if we're not all too knackered (OH was up until 3am as well last night, xboxing  ) Maybe some bracing wind in our faces will blow away the cobwebs, lol.

    Have a good Sunday, all.
Herman - MP for all! :)
