There's worse things you could be munching!

Next 1 will have 4 different fillings in the quarters - see what works :)
Going for the chilli n thin tom idea, sounds great! And then there's pepperami

Tried some out on work mates today, generally good feedback.

Got recipe off Dr Bernsteins diabetes website. Seems to be Canadian / American, lots there but this one stood out.

the 'fudge' is better than ever today after 9 hrs in the fridge so a good1 all round! Imagine my glee! :rotfl:

Just got very lucky (again) at asda.

Thin sliced frying beef at half price :) Going to have it with mushies and asparagus. Yum!

May do the weekday lunch broth with this as the meat content, if I use a beef stock cube rather than veg one and a little tom puree could be a taste sensation!

Will report back if it's interesting enough :rotfl:

Gona post a lemon curd recipe in a min, just got to find it.

    Hiya!

    Lemon Curd

    1 egg yolk
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice and some zest
1 tablespoon Splenda (or 12 drops liquid)
    1 ounce melted butter

Mix all and microwave and stir 'til thickened. Will thicken more as it cools.

Again, I must thank Dr Bernsteins people. I haven't tried this but it seems reasonable so decided to share. I'm off sweet stuff but if you do try it, let us know, could be nice on plain almond biscs or with a small almond crust.

Off to make my dinner, had mushies sweating long enough :)

    Have fun!

Hi all, glad to read about all the weight loss, you lot are stars!! I am actually worried about weighing myself tomorrow, don't want to dishearten myself. My first week has gone so well I think I must be doing it wrong (IPD). Went out and brought some redbush tea today after reading good reports about it here after first mouthful I thought it was really weird - by the third I am hooked, it's fantastic! Thanks for recommending it!.

    Have a great weekend everyone!

Hi all, feel like i've not been good today as am bloated and a bit windy, sorry to lower the tone but it seems to be a good indication.
Had some celeriac mash as thought it was low but not as low as i thought and prob that is the culprit.
Also had an avilite lolly (like you get in chemists) and one square of that 85% choc i bought, is huge chunk but only 2.7 (of sugar) per chunk, is quite a gob full but feels like you've had loads by the time its melted away, i know i shouldn't have but middle of the month is my most difficult time.
It doesn't seem too bad but i feel like it seems really bad.
I dont know if having a drop of milk in tea is gonna stall me as i used to have cream when i last did atkins but find it very sickly. Time will tell i spose.

    Hey all

Sorry I haven't posted for a while but been mega busy with work & sorting my holiday out, going to Lanzarote on Sunday ....dust off the bikini:eek:

Just a quick query, can anyone suggest supplments to combat night cramps in my legs & feet. I'm doing Dr D's plan so she doesn't specify which to take and what amounts. I've been getting crampy feet and calves at night and read on t'interweb it happens on low carb diets when your potassium, magnesium and calcium levels are skew-whiff....but what amounts and brands to take? Only ever had a multi vit before.

Ive got calcium100mg x 2 plus mag (with b6 inc)400mgx 2(I think 400 mg is what they quote for 3 tablets) and pottassium 99mg x 1 . The make is Solgar for the pottasium and magnesium and I just follow the recommended doses on the jar! They work. Sometimes I miss a day but still fine. Mag says to take 3 a day-I only take 2.
I just went to health shop and asked. H & B should b able to sort you out.

Noot lost any more weight but not disheartened as Ive measured myself and have lost 2 inches on bust and waist and one inch on hips. Thats good for my proportions-especialy the waist. BMI down to 27.5 according to the nhs site so I feel good on that too. Worked today-all day standing so no swimming or gym today-I will see how I feel tomorrow. I will do the gym I think as that is what I need to build on-I want to build up my walking ability-that sounds pathetic but true! It will hopefully strengthen my calf muscles. I tore one of them 3 years ago and Im frightened of doing it again so it does need some gradual strengthening I believe. Not going to overdo anything. Preferring my mirror image a little but a long way to go!.

Lunch was boiled egg smoked salmon salad and mayo plus s/f jelly and cream.

Made myself some bolognese tonight-lean beaf mince, olive oil,tin of toms, oregano,,basil, garlic. Served half of this with spinach(frozen). Have the other half tomorrow.

May also have sardines in tom sauce for lunch tomorrow as Im not at work! Cutting back on the cheese and cream a little.
Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults
