Mmm, mercy i fancy that fudge too.

I also thought it would be sweet..ish:rotfl:

Does anyone know if not eating a great deal stalls weight loss?

Y'know, like on a calorie controlled diet you have to ensure you eat enough to keep metabolism going, obviously calories are high as its high fat food but i'm just picking at bits instead of cooking a meal sometimes.
    Is that ok d'you think:confused:
  • Hello everyone! I'm feeling really rough this morning on day 4. I've just had some breakfast ... I had 3g carb and the cat had the other 1g! lol

I was really feeling like taking a day off or just increasing my carbs for a couple of days to get through this, but then I decided to jump on the scales and I've already lost 2lbs! :D I'll just stick with it for now.

Any advice or shared experiences would be very welcome. :T

Mercy - that mexican fudge sounds really interesting! When you first mentioned you were going to make it I asssumed it was a sweet thing lol:o Just wanted to check tho - is the cheese grated? And are the chillis sliced? Deffo wanna have a go at that!

I just sliced the cheeses and finely sliced the chillis. Took more time to shop for ingredients than to make it :)

The mozzarella goes very firm overnight and makes a sort of base. When cold it's very easy to cut the fudge into pieces as not crumbly or wet at all.

Deffo better after standing, On a day out tomorrow with Bro so will take some to sort munchies. My bro is a veggie and I was tempted to add sliced pepparami but didn't so may have to share :p

It would be nice I think with thin sliced pepparami or german frankfurter type sausies. Think it stands up well to chillis so would need something rather strong tasting to balance it out. Bavarian ham? Can see this one as a keeper :)

Weighed myself this morn and have lost 3 pounds since last weigh about 2 weeks ago. Glad what I'm doing is working, haven't wanted to look :)

Helps not cooking for more than 30 mins a day. And not worrying about it all very much.

    Nitrates aren't all that bad

Interesting link there newish, just goes to show that most scare stories are poorly thought out. So, we have bacon and eggs both recently rehabilitated!

Mercy, i made that 'fudge' is yummy, :T the chilli is lovely in it, i used up two thinly sliced cherry tomatoes too, which surprisingly you can taste the sweetness. will be great for work tomorrow.
Keep up the good work providing lovely recipes:rotfl:

I must make more effort to cook things:rolleyes:

Oh lordy, i think its gonna be hard to resist that fudge, i already want some more, but did only have a little chunk to taste!

Glad you like it! It has potential, like the tom's idea. Quite filling so you might peak earlier than you expect :) Was stuffed after my tea last night and had just less than 1/4 with mayo n salad. Yum!

It's so easy n quick, too. just the way I like it :)

    Yes, it can.

Your body will go into starvation mode if you don't eat enough to keep it going. It will then cling to every calorie and every fat cell it can get hold of in case you stop eating completely.

Don't forget, sugar rich food has higher calories than high fat food, so you need to eat plenty when you aren't eating sugar.

Hmm, knew about starvation mode as its happened to me in the past when slimming (didnt lose an ounce for weeks as was virtually living on toast) but was unsure about atkins.
    Thanks for the reply:beer:
